Phillip's POV

“So what have you been doing all this time?” Linda asked me as she poured us more wine.

Rebecca and Gran had just gone upstairs and we were alone.

“Nothing, just the usual work, running the family company.”

“It must be stressful, don’t you relax?” She asked, rubbing my neck.

I gently moved away.

“I do when I have time. And you? What have you been doing?” I asked.

“Same. Work, I only try to have fun, unlike you,” she teased, then placed her arm on mine. “I have really missed you Phil. I haven’t thought of anyone else, let alone dating anyone.”

I tried not to sigh. Linda and I had a childhood together, and I was sure she had a crush on me. As for me, well, I felt nothing different towards her except for a sister, and still do not.
