Chapter 4

Not long after Geography class had ended, we were all settled on our seats with every student murmuring as usual. I wasn't left out, Ria was telling me how she wished her life to be if she was some Disney Princess; this girl day dreams a lot.

Our school vice chancellor suddenly barged in, trust that everyone kept quiet instantly.

Ria hurriedly raced to her seat.

"Good morning you all!" She said briefly.

"Good morning Mrs. Mulligans." we all muttered.

I hope she isn't here to tell us we're having another compulsory sports class today.

"Yeah whatever, and no you're not having sports today." she said, clearing the minds of a lot of us, including me.

"I have a lot to do so anyway, I'm here to introduce to you your new classmates. Yes we're having two new kids amongst us, and I'll like you guys to totally behave yourselves around them." She turned towards the door. "You two may come in now."

I don't know why, but I was very uninterested in whatever or whoever she was introducing. I faced my desk, piling up my books and pencil.

"So students, these are your new classmates, Zelan Gregory and Raven McClure." The last name sounded so familiar.

The 'wows' and 'woahs' of the class, made me raise my head to stare at them. At once my eyes met his, yes his!

They walked to the empty seats with bored and unimpressed expressions. Ria turned to me and mouthed an 'I told you they were cute'. Once again, I rolled my eyes.

What in the world is Magic boy and his friend doing in my school?! Yes magic boy from the cafe. Oh no! So I really wasn't hallucinating, he was the one, same body structure, blue eyes, perfect cheek bone.

Ahhhh! Someone's messing with my brain!

I watched them take their seats as the Zelan boy sat behind me. I swallowed hard, I was nervous for just no reason. The other girls ululated including Ria, of course who wouldn't. They almost made me fall from a ladder yesterday, from excessive drooling.

We managed to have our last period before lunch break, occasionally Raven caught me starring at him; I wasn't the only one starring though. He kept twirling his pencil with so much skill, or he was either tapping the table, his fingers were always busy.

The amount of times Zelan sighed behind me was so uncountable, I too was getting pissed at that.

Finally it was lunch break! I raced to Ria's seat.

"Ria those newbiesssssss."

"Yeah what about them? Drooling already?" She smirked. I told her to stop smirking, tf!

"No well yes, but that's not it."

"Well what is it?"

"I---i met them yesterday at my mom's cafe. One of them got the whole street fro---"

"At the cafe? Oh come on Jasmine, just go talk to one of them if you want to and stop giving silly meet-cutes." she shot.

"This is no meet-cute Ria!"

Well actually what happened yesterday was a meet cute.

"Look I'm serious Ria. Come let's talk outside."

"I have better things to do Jasmine. Besides that Zelan guy looks way more fun than you are. So see you, Jas." I watched her race to Zelan's seat. Grinning and blinking rapidly, trying to start a conversation. That bitch was blushing.

I scoffed and caught Raven trying to walk out of the class. Now is probably the only time I have to clarify things.

I followed him till we got to the locker hall, the other girls were giggling and mumbling, of course he's the cause of the show.

"Hey! Raven?"

He paused and turned, starring at me. I sighed heavily before walking towards him. Here we go Jasmine.

"Uhm... hi?" I said again. The dummy didn't even say anything instead he tucked his left hand in his pocket.

"Okay so I'm trying to prove that I'm not crazy here. What really happened at the cafe yesterday happened for real right? That wasn't hallucination, right???"

He scoffed and rolled his eyes "The least you can do right now is thank me cause I saved your ass and stop trying to stick your nose into my business." He turned and scoffed again "Pathetic!" walking away from me, towards the direction of the Cafeteria.

What the hell was that? Okay this guy is insane, so insane!

I huffed angrily, trying to walk back to class when I saw Ria coming out of the class too.

"Heyy Jas." she rushed towards me and flung her arm on my shoulder.

"Finished talking with your fun Zelan?" I scoffed.

"Oh please. Like I didn't see you race your tiny ass to the other guy. Ravy or whatever he was called." She smirked.

"It's Raven. And I wasn't even doing--- urghh never mind." It would be useless trying to banter with Ria. Very useless!

We got to the cafeteria, after ordering our lunch we sat on our favourite seat; the window side.

Wow the whole cafeteria was full today, very fast.

"Hey look newbies." Someone squealed behind us.

The whole cafeteria turned in their direction, we also turned to see Raven and Zelan walking our way, carrying their lunch trays in their hands.

They got to our table and gently sat opposite us, that was the only empty seat in the Cafeteria. Our school was so dumb to have made a four-seat table, two-seat wouldn't have made any difference.

I unconsciously squeezed my juice box, which Ria noticed on time and snatched it away from me.

These crazy boys didn't even say a word to us, we all ate our lunch in quiet awkwardness. Well it was awkward for me, having to watch Zelan and Ria make awkward faces to themselves.

I made it through everything, starting from the drama in the cafeteria, to trying to avoid Raven's gaze in class. I got home and ordered some food at once, my parents were already out of town. So I was alone at home, to do whatever I wanted, peace at last!

I was still facetiming Ria when I heard the door bell.

"Uhm that should be the delivery. Call you later Ria."

"Sure. Don't forget the leftovers for me."

Tch...I hung up immediately. My best friend was this weird for wanting my leftover food.

"Hii" I beamed once I opened the door. Starring at the average looking man before me.

"Hello. It's Jasmine right?"

"Yes yes."

"Your order from 'Sushi Dushi' here." He raised the brown paps bag up.

"Okay uhm.. I'll be right back. I left my wallet in the room"

"Yeah sure"

I hurried to my room, grabbed my wallet from the dresser and was about to leave when I noticed someone behind me.

I gently turned and saw a figure sitting on my bed. Out of fear I screamed and ran into the closet. Was that a ghost? Oh no he's here to take my soul.

I opened the closet slowly, picking up whatever my hand landed on. I gently walked out, still seeing the figure standing in my room. I raised the objectl and tried to hit the unknown black figure.

I don't know what happened, the object went flying in the air. I screamed again and he rushed to me, covering my mouth. The ghost has powers. Arghhhhh!

"An hair brush? Really?" The person or ghost snickered.

"Please don't kill me. Pleaseeeee I still wanna eat more sushi dushi" I mumbled.

"Shut up and keep it down." He muttered. His thick voice made me realise who it was.

"Raven?" I muffled, his hand still against my mouth.

"Shhhhh"

I forcefully removed his hand. "Why the heck would you shhhh me? What the hell are you doing here?" This guy was getting me really freaked out.

"I'm here because you have something that belongs to me." he muttered. Even in a situation like this, he still has the time for that cold voice with no particular expression on his face.

"Something that belongs to you? What the hell does that mean? How did you even get in here?" I hadn't stopped panting. Immediately the blue strands on my hair glowed, not the time Bluey! (yeah I named those strands Bluey).

I remember my window is locked from within and he didn't possibly get in through the front door, I was at the sitting room the whole time.

"I'm talking to you. How did you get in here?"

"Hello? Miss Jasmine?" I heard someone yell outside.

"Right the delivery man." I rushed to the door and paused "Stay right here. I'll be right back."

I hurried outside and dismissed the delivery man after paying for the food. I placed the carton of food in the sitting room and rushed back to my room, not forgetting Raven.

"Raven?" I called out. I checked in the bathroom and closet, he wasn't anywhere.

"Oh my Gosh!"

Raven isn't human! What the fuck just happened?

I took a moment to calm down. What is he? Some sir of Grim Reaper or Goblin who flies and disappears?? I scoffed.

I carried my laptop to the sitting room and switched it on. I went straight to the net and searched for cute guys with weird powers. The net knows everything right?

'Vampires are one of the species with super fast reflexes and are able to freeze places, disappear and appear, and do a lot of magic tricks like witches'

Oh no! Raven is a Vampire!

I closed my laptop nervously, promising myself not to enter the room again...

I'm not dramatic.
