Getting Married

I quickly retraced my steps back to the front door and just before I could reach, it was swung open. It was Rosalie again. I jerked away from the door, keeping a safe distance, a distance that was not so safe.

“What are you…” She began and paused as her gaze met those of the man behind me. “Oh you still had the guts to bring him back home? Are you that daft?”

I went speechless for a while, fear gripping me, while I still contemplated on what to say. I directed my gaze to the man I had spent the previous night with and he returned my stare with a cold sinister glare. I froze at once.

“I…I'm sorry. I…” I faltered, my lips trembling.

“Get out of this premises, you stupid thing!” She cut me off, with a dangerous glare.

“Excuse me, ma'am,” my one night stand finally spoke up. I peered at him eagerly, a glint of hope coursing through my veins.

“I want her! She'll be my bride for six months and I'd settle your pending debts.” He declared with a possessive aura.
