Evelyn's POV

I sat at the dining table opposite Liam, to eat the delicious meal I had just taken my time to prepare. We hardly ate together, so I cherished the precious moment, a moment of the closeness we shared, despite the fact that the atmosphere was tense and his aura was dominating.

We had hardly begun eating our meals, when Liam's phone rang from the dining table where he had placed it. I impulsively peered at the caller ID to know who it was that disturbed our peaceful meal, only to find a long array of different love emojis.
