Liam's POV

“What the hell is she doing here?” Olivia snapped angrily at me.

I kept mum, my gaze fixed to the black and white patterned floor.

I never expected Evelyn to be back so soon, despite the neverending list of items I had sent her to purchase from the mall. Now, how would I tell Olivia that I was already married to the lowlife that even wouldn't qualify to be a maid in my house? How could I explain that it wasn't my fault?

“Are you married to her already?” Olivia asked impatiently.

My heart pounded hard in my chest. I don't want to ruin my relationship that I have spent so many years building, not when we're on the bridge of getting back together. I also didn't want to make the poor woman's life more miserable. Evelyn has been loyal to me, despite how badly I treated her. Although I had stated it clearly to her right from day one, that there were no feelings and no commitment in this marriage, I knew she deserved better.
