Chapter 90 Leave or stay?

(Migumi’s POV)

Suddenly, a familiar female voice rang out, sharp and venomous, cutting through the silent murmuring of the crowd. "She is the one who brought this plague upon us!" Dianne shouted, her finger pointing directly at me. "The bringer of calamity! How can we accept her as our Luna Queen?"

Aiden’s grip on my wrist tightened, putting me behind his back, as if to protect me from an incoming storm. I held into his hand as the crowd divided from their different points of view.

They started fighting with each other, one half defending my side, the other casting me away.

I don't know how Dianne did it, but the crowd, swayed by fear and anger, began to murmur in agreement. The joyous celebration quickly turned into a scene of chaos. Eyes that once admired me now glared with suspicion and fear.

Aiden’s expression hardened, his hand instinctively reaching for mine. He squeezed it reassuringly, while I glared at Dianne. The audacity of this woman to walk here by herself.
