I woke up to the sound of someone's gentle voice pulling me out from my deep sleep. When I opened my eyes to confirm if it was the love of my life, I proved myself correct. “Migumi…”

His voice was so soft as his hand gently shook my shoulder. I stir, my eyelids heavy with sleep.

I groan, burying my face deeper into the pillow. “Five more minutes,” I mumble.

For some reason, I felt comfortable to act like a teenager being woken up by her parents. I dare to request for another minute and more, thinking that I don't have to be so hard on myself anymore.

“You’ve been asleep for hours,” he says, his hand lingering on my shoulder.

I open my eyes, blinking against the light. Aiden’s face is a blur of concern. “What time is it?” I ask, my voice thick with sleep.

“It’s almost noon,” he says. “We need to get ready for the feast.”
