Chapter 13 Stories of the Past

(Migumi’s POV)

Amidst the cloudy weather, we embarked on a journey across the town, our hearts heavy with hope for safety. I had to throw away some of my baggage, so that the four young werewolves could squeeze themselves at the back, while I sat here at the front seat with the Prince.

He hasn't spoken a word since we left, but I know that inside his head is a million thoughts running at the same time.

My guess is that we have been traveling for about three hours now. It’s almost lunch time, and I know that the pups are already starving at the backseat.

If only I had brought some snacks to feed them.

“Only two minutes from here is a charming bakeshop. We can stop by to have some of their fresh bread and hot drinks,” Prince Aiden suddenly said as if he could read my mind. I was just thinking about telling him that. “Are you a fan of bread?” he asked.

“Yesss!!!”

The children chimed in unison, making me chuckle.

I guess that's where he bought the croissant he got me last week. It tasted
