2025-04-21 23:49:45Lila let out a long sigh from her mouth as she threw her head back and closed her eyes. She could not believe that her family was so interested in trying to run her life the way they pleased. First her family and now the Beaumont family, she had to listen to her father and even to Daniel. She was sure they did not even care about her and all they cared about was just getting her to do whatever it took to make them richer.
Levi came back in and stood beside her; she did not open her eyes to see but his scent was so strong that it filled her entire nose. "Lila," he began and that made her jump out of the chair. She wished that he would not speak to her and just let her. She had hoped that he would say something when his father was making decisions on their behalf but it was obvious that he could not challenge his father either.
"Oh so now you want to talk?" She said with her hand on her waist and her eyes narrowed at him. She could not believe he had stood quietly there while their president made decisions on their behalf. "Do you have anything to say? You suddenly have something to say now?" she asked.
"Wait..." he stretched his hand to her but she recoiled as if it were something disgusting about touching her. His hand folded into a fist and dropped to his side.
"It is obvious that you are enjoying this a little too much," she said. She could not believe that he would enjoy torturing her this way. "Just avoid me as much as you can," she said, pushing past him and walking away.
She went back to her room and paced around; her mind was swirling around with emotions and she did not do what she was supposed to do. She wanted to clear her mind and she knew that only running was going to do the trick for her.
She changed out of the clothes she had on to some leggings and sportswear and threw on a jacket around her waist as she went downstairs. She passed by and noticed that Levi was in the kitchen speaking to someone over the phone. As much as she wanted to stop and listen in, she was not sure her mind was in for more information at that time.
She spent almost thirty minutes running around the house until her legs fell heavy and her chest was rising and falling too rapidly. She stopped with her hand on her waist as she thought of how calm and collected Levi looked.
She was married but she was not happy; she was supposed to make this the happiest moment of her life and yet it felt like a chore. "I have to make sure that I make the most out of this or else I would be the only one who doesn't gain out of this," she said to herself as she made up her mind in that moment.
She went back into the house to get water to drink; she had sweated so much that she was feeling disgusted by all of the sweat on her. She saw two pizza boxes opened on the table and was shocked at Levi sitting there. "You ordered pizza?" she asked, trying to sound as nice as she could be.
"Yes, would you like some?" he asked. If she were the one on the other side of the situation, she would never have asked him if he wanted some. She wondered why he was being nice to her; was this supposed to be a tactic against her? She was going to make sure that she did the same back to him.
"Sure," he said, shocking him that his face showed it. "Well, don't you want me to have some?"
"I just thought that..." he trailed off, and she shook her head.
"I am so sorry, hungry; all of that exercise must have left a hole in my stomach," she yawned as she pulled the chair out and sat down, taking one of the pizza's and eating it.

Lila felt her face get hotter and her stomach twirl; she would have never thought that her first kiss would be stolen in this way and in front of all the people with their flashing lights and camera shutters directed at them. After walking for a while and feeling her head clear a little, she headed back to the room. She knocked at first but when the door was not attended to she used her key card. "Are you okay?" She could tell that he was having a nightmare with the way he jolted out of sleep and sat up. He stared at her for a while before throwing off the covers on his body.
