Theo’s POV

I woke up this morning with my wolf urging me to go to the border. I ignored him at first and went on with my daily activities. It seemed to work as he didn't speak to me again about it. It was the first time he spoke to me since Allison left. I knew he had been sad about our mate leaving, but there was nothing either of us could do about it. Some hours later he spoke up again making me growl lowly. He was interrupting my work and I wasn't comfortable with that.

"The border, Theo." He said in my head. I groaned. What's there? Who could be there? What should I even do there? He just kept saying those words over and over again till I finally gave in.

"Alright. That's enough." I said to him, not aloud though. I mind-linked Carter immediately to let him know I'll be going out.

"Hey, Carter." He moaned. Wait, what! What the hell is my beta doing at this hour of the day?
