Alex's POV

"What are you doing? Theo is your best friend and you accusing his mate right before him. No one would take that, not even you Alex." She yelled. I was silent, I raked my fingers through my hair.

"I'm sorry. I... I... just can't believe that I'd one day break the promise I made to my father. I can't even bear seeing my pack members suffer." I said and she gave me a pitiful look. She stretched her hand and wiped the blood at the corner of my lips. Then she brushed her thumb against my cheek slowly and I heaved a sigh as I relaxed under the simple touch.

"I'm sorry you feel this way Alex, I really am. But you can't go about accusing people. Allison has done nothing wrong. She just happens to be a rogue, if she really was a bad person, she wouldn't have helped us in the first place. It's not your fault that they were attacked. You're not to blame, no one is. We should focus on getting the person behind this and not share blames." I gave a nod and she gave me a tight smile.
