“What do you mean?” Her mouth dry. Rebecca couldn't deny it, this right here wasn't right.

“I mean, I have enough time now to do what I want to do.” She didn't want to ask what he meant, his confidence worried her.

“Andreas is coming to pick me up.”

“I'm sure he is. He's been overly attentive lately. He never leaves you out of his sight, he is always with you. He and that damn dog." He snickered. “Imagine my surprise when I see you without either of your watchdogs.”

“My friend is with me.”

“Oh Rebecca.” The sound of her voice coming out of his mouth felt filthy. “You really shouldn't have left your house today." Rebecca felt a chill run down her spine as she realized the danger she was in. She knew she had to think fast and come up with a plan to get out of this situation.

"Are you happy, Rebecca?" John asked, taking a step closer to her. "Is your husband making you happy?"

Rebecca's throat felt dry, and she swallowed hard. "Yes, Andreas makes me very happy," she managed to
