Seventy-eight

Rebecca felt sick to her stomach as John entered the room with a plastic bag in his hand. She recognized the logo of the store and realized they weren't too far from town. He placed the bag on the floor and offered her a water bottle and some snacks, but she refused to take anything from him.

John tried to sweeten her up with his words, talking about how good they looked together and how he could make her happy. But Rebecca knew better than to believe his lies. She glared at him with disgust, her voice cold and unwavering as she spoke.

"You're sick, John. What you're doing is wrong and illegal. You have no right to keep me here like this. Let me go and turn yourself in before it's too late."

John's face twisted in anger, his eyes burning with fury. "You don't understand, Rebecca. You're mine, and I'll do anything to keep you with me. I love you."

Rebecca shook her head in disbelief. "Love? You call this love? This is nothing but obsession and delusion
