CHAPTER SIX : Jack's fury

Jillian's Pov

Zach drove me back home and smile at me when I was about to alight.

I smiled back and said

" Thanks for the drink and also for the necklace " he smiles in answer and watch me get inside.

I wave at him as I stood at the door and he waved back before driving off.

I walk inside to meet larry, my hair stylist Diana ,Lorie my fashionista and also my chauffeur han. We are like a family.

They stare at me as i flop on the couch and sign.

" You haven't been eating too much ... right ? " Larry asked and i smile shooking my head in negative.

" So what's going on between you and Zach? , Common jilly he's a Playboy " Lorie said creasing her Face in sadness and I stare surprisingly at her.

That's so much of a concern.

" is that why you look so sad? Almost crying ? " Diana said hissing and I laugh.

Those two are always on each other's throat.

They quarrel all the time that I can't believe they haven't kill each other.

" I'm thinking of accepting him " I said looking at the three of them to see their Expression.

I'm not really surprised as they all stare at me. 

Larry's expression is unread , I stare at him longer but there's no success in reading his expression so I turn to diana, hers was of someone delighted.

Okay I got Diana's approval while Lorie's expression is of surprised and shock.

It's a wonder she isn't having an heart attack.

" He's nice Lorie, don't be too surprise. All I want from you guys is that I want to surprise Zach. " I said to them waiting for any response.

Han didn't speak or react to any on what i was saying. I really don't know why he's always as silent as a mute person.

Probably because he's a retired Young soldier.

Larry spoke first.

" surprise? , How ? " he ask clearly confused.

Diana smile and I brace myself to hear her out.

" How about you visit him at home. He wouldn't expect you to come out of your very busy schedule " She said smiling.

I was about to reply when Lorie shot her a furious look.

" She's very busy to the extent that she couldn't visit her dad, now you want her to visit Zach? Where will the free time come from " she ask diana almost shouting.

I was surprised at the turn of event, okay I get it Lorie doesn't want Zach for me and I'm surprised at it because she's the only one who's been asking me to get a boyfriend so I won't be totally alone. 

I look at her and smile.

" I got a free time tomorrow evening before my promotion early the next morning so I think I will visit Zach. " I said to her and she smiles.

" Will you be okay ? " Larry asked.

" Yeah, I will. Han will drive me over "

They all turn to han who stare at them in surprise as if they're a stranger.

I almost laugh.

" What's your opinion han ? " I asked him.

He look at me and smile shyly.

" Anything that makes you happy, i think you should go for it. " I smile brightly to him in response and stood up to go into my room and rest.

I was so tired.

No one speaks as I left the living room to my bedroom .

I took a shower and prepare for bed, it's been a long day and surely tomorrow will be a long day as well.

Accepting Zach isn't out of love. I do not love him, he's just so nice and caring.

I got this strange hunch that Zach won't leave me alone until I accept his proposal and surely I wouldn't like to mess up with my future sponsor.

My career is indirectly on the line so I reason accepting him is the best. Who knows I could fall in love with him sooner than later.

I climb on to my bed and lay down.

I tried to think about Zach more but the fatigue won't let me.

My eye lids drop and sleep engulfed my tired body.

Jack's Pov

I walk out from the kitchen to check on Maureen.

The doctor is still with her.

I walk to her room to find sally packing up her medical instrument. 

Maureen was laying down staring into space.

I wonder what's wrong with her.

Sally stood up and signal me to follow her.

I step out with her and we went into the living room to have a conversation.

She sat down on the couch slowly and look up at me for I was standing.

" Your sister is pregnant jack " She announced and I urge myself to smile a little.

I don't want to blow anything off so I will myself to calm down and hear her out.

" She's going through some mental stress " she continues and I put up a hand to stop her.

" How do you mean, mental stress " i asked her completely confused.

What's going on with Maureen, what had they done to her?.

" Your sister has been abuse " She said calmly.

I stare at her for what seem like a long time.

I felt my anger rises to it's limit and I ball my hands Into a fist.

No wonder she's been wearing a full clothes that covers all her body.

Was she hiding any bruise from me ? 

" Thanks Sally. I will take things from here. I would like if you come often to check on her. You can text my personal assistant Donald for the medical fee " I said before turning away.

I couldn't let her see how angry i am.

And who would have done that to my sister without thinking of the consequences.

Someone I vow to protect always.

Someone abuses her and thought that's the end? NEVER.

I heard sally drove off and I stood in front of Maureen's room.

I held the door knob but I didn't open the door.

I was so upset so I walk into my room.

I will have a full conversation with her tomorrow and she's going to tell tell me who did that to her I vow to myself.
