Chapter 23

It was the night of the full moon. Serena immediately felt the impact of the moon and even its energy protruding through the window and she felt a weird energy inside of her.

I don’t do well with full moons, was all she could think of as she threw the blanket covering her body off her. In fact, most vampires of the obsidian order clan did not do well with the full moon. While the moon gives the werewolves a sense of peace and liberty, it made vampires extremely dangerous. They were usually not able to contain the urge to kill and destroy anything that isn’t like them on nights like this.

“And here I am, living in the midst of werewolves.” Seraphina said to herself, groaning out loud in frustration.

She stood from her bed immediately and began to pace the room, staring at the door while hoping she could escape for the night. Unlike other vampires, she was one of the people who weren’t violent on such nights but that didn’t mean everybody close to her was safe.
