Chapter 26

Seraphina shut the door behind her, even though she still had her fears, she felt a sense of relief. She had an assurance that Ethan hadn't left her all alone, because he promised he wouldn't. As she walked towards her bed, she suddenly heard a faint noise outside her window.

She approached it cautiously, her eyes widened, her heart racing with different imaginations.

She peeped through the window, only to find one of Ethan’s warriors standing right there.

“What are you doing here?” she asked. “Aren't you supposed to be with the alpha?”

“I’m sorry to intrude, Seraphina,” the warrior said. “Alpha Ethan asked me to keep an eye on you, your safety is my responsibility tonight.”

Seraphina nodded, she felt a surge of energy, knowing she’s been guided. As she laid on her bed, she meditated on Ethan’s thoughtfulness towards her and a warm smile spread across her face.
