Dazed I was, as soon as I saw a glimpse of the interior. It seemed modernized unlike the houses and palaces I’ve visited in this place. It was just a small expanse like that of a minimalist house. There’s a wooden loft bed beside a round window, girded with flower ornaments. There’s a small chimney made of firebricks. There’s a small round table in front of it and it was full of meals that I guess Gili has prepared. I was lured by the mouthwatering smell of the roasted turkey at the center of the table. “Aries?” I suddenly voiced out. Not sure if it was me who spoke, or the other voice inside me. When I realized what I just called him, I immediately gagged my mouth with my shaky hands. I tucked myself closer to the warm thing beside me. It’s so comforting, like I don’t want to get up from my bed anymore. I can’t believe I was able to sleep after all the trouble that happened yesterday. Now I’m here being lazy to get up. But then I remembered I have a task to be done today. I need to search for the scroll and Nemiah’s diary as well. I wonder where Amaris slept last night. I slowly opened my eyes, only to figure out that the thing that was keeping me warm was Amaris’s body. He’s sleeping beside me! My head is even resting on his arm. Gladly I was able to persuade Amaris to look for the journal near the falls we once got caught up in. I suggested to him that we should stop first by the cave so I could inform them that we'll be searching for something. I'm really worried about my tiger if he's just okay after that madman injected something into his body. Namir would probably insist on coming with us, but Dubheasa's soldiers are scattered all over the place. They would eventually recognize Namir and might put us all in danger. At least with Amaris, he can hide me using his magic.We rode to his giant crow to reach Kuu's cave. The morning view of the ocean was more spectacular than at night. The dark ocean glimmers with the morning sun. I could see groups of dolphins playfully jumping out the water. I wonder if they have mermaids here too. The moment we landed in front of the cave, Namir eventually get out to meet me. I guess he's been waiting and he already smelled me from afar. How he fondly clutched on me shows he really missed me for not being with him last night. I giggled as he licked my face."Yeah, I know. I missed you too, Namir. Glad you're okay after what that madman did to you." I muttered to my tiger. Namir purred like he sounded sorry and it kinda broke my heart."Yes you do. You couldn't even handle that feeble thug and let Nemiah get kidnapped." Amaris scolded Namir."Did my tiger say something?" I was confused on how he responded to Namir's purr. Namir just growled at him in response."Of course I do. He was saying sorry for not being able to save you. That's your tiger, why are you asking me? Don't you understand what it's saying?" He wondered."No." I murmured. "That's amazing. I wish I could understand him too." I added, as I rub my fingers through his fur.Amaris rolled his eyes. "If you only knew."

Well, knowing Caius being a hard-headed prince, he really insisted on coming with us. Even Namir, being so overprotective, also ended up coming with us. Amaris was dismayed that the plan for finding the journal became a group search. It was dangerous for everyone since the forest is infested with Dubheasa's witches who are hunting us—especially me. But I kinda feel worried about Amaris as well. What if someone sees him helping us and reports it to his mother? Doesn't he really care about betraying his mother? But I know he's just holding back to capture me because of his memories of that child.
