Chapter 44: Coffee

I tucked myself closer to the warm thing beside me. It’s so comforting, like I don’t want to get up from my bed anymore. I can’t believe I was able to sleep after all the trouble that happened yesterday. Now I’m here being lazy to get up. But then I remembered I have a task to be done today. I need to search for the scroll and Nemiah’s diary as well. I wonder where Amaris slept last night.

I slowly opened my eyes, only to figure out that the thing that was keeping me warm was Amaris’s body. He’s sleeping beside me! My head is even resting on his arm. How did this happen without me noticing his movement? Did I really sleep so well last night that I didn't even realize he was laying beside me? I tried to feel my body. I hope nothing happened while I was sleeping.
