CHAPTER 98

OWEN'S POV

“Hold on, cupcake. I'll get you to safety.” I muttered as my voice shook and I kept glancing between the road and her. She was curled up in the passenger seat as she clutched her stomach in pain.

Her face was pale and full of agony, with beads of sweat all over her forehead. My heart raced wildly as I stepped harder on the gas pedal, the tires screeching beneath us as I drove like a maniac.

I didn’t care who yelled in frustration, nothing else mattered right now. Nothing mattered except getting my wife to the hospital. I had to save her and the baby.

"Owen... it hurts..." She whimpered, her voice low, almost barely audible over the loud pounding of my heart.

“I know, cupcake. We’re almost there. Just hold on, okay?” I whispered but panic was written all over my face.

What if something was wrong with the baby? What if I lost them both?
