OWEN'S POV

“What is it?” I asked and she held the hem of my sleeve as she pulled me back to the bed with a weird expression on her face.

“You see… there's something I found out. But I don't know how true it is… And it's about Caleb.”

“What is it?” I asked again, firmly this time and she sighed as she let go of me.

“Like I said, I- I don't know how true it is-”

“Charlotte, if you aren't going to tell me what it is, then I'll call him.” I moved away from her as I pressed the dial button.

“No!” She yelled as she came up to me and quickly hung up as she grabbed the phone from me.

“You're acting weird right now. What is going on?” I held her face gently as she shifted from one foot to the other.

“There's something I have to tell you but… I can't.” Her shoulders slumped as she looked up at me, concern written all over her face.

“Why?”

“Because I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want to see you cry again.”
