CHARLOTTE'S POV

I almost couldn't believe my ears. Truly, I had suspected him for everything but hearing him say it… it brought another level of anger and disappointment.

“What do you mean? I didn't poison her! We both know that we needed her and her baby alive. It's essential! But your mom had to ruin everything! Blame her, not me.” Catherine's voice came as a hushed whisper and I collapsed into the chair.

My mother in law poisoned me. She killed my baby. She-
