OWEN'S POV

It was so much fun to sing and dance with Charlotte to her favorite song. The way she swung her body in rhythm, the way she purposely sang off-key, it made me feel so alive.

Her laughter was infectious, and I found myself smiling like an idiot, as I flung all seriousness out the window.

We sang together happily and she even yelled the lyrics out in excitement, making my heart burst with joy. I never wanted this moment to end.

Going to see Michael wasn't something I wanted. I hated him with everything I had in me. I loathed him for everything that he had put my sunshine through.

But I didn't have a choice. We needed him.

She believed that convincing Michael to testify against Caleb would be a boost to the evidence we have against him and I knew she was right.

But knowing Michael, it won't be an easy task.

Suddenly, she screamed and I looked in front of me to see a truck heading our way. I couldn't stop to think, I had to protect my wife.
