Caraline got out as soon as the wheelchair pulled up on the porch. Unexpectedly, Deric also took shelter on the porch. Occasionally the woman glanced at Deric, then observed her appearance which was wet in several parts. It was annoying, the rain had again thwarted her moment of togetherness with the man.

"This rain sucks," Caraline said as she glanced at Deric She threw her jacket at the man in an animated manner. "Especially when I'm stuck with a guy like you."

"You know, rain is one of the signs that God loves us," Deric said without turning to Caraline. He opened his right hand to collect the rainwater. "With every drop, an angel is guarding it."

Caraline rolled her eyes, shifting her body slightly to get closer to Deric. The air outside was getting colder at the moment, but she didn't want to enter the house just yet. Being alone with Deric at a time like this was a rare moment. Of course, she did not want to waste it. Being stuck for a few hours was something she could do.
