To make her plan a success, the first thing Caraline did was move her bottles to the center of the table. After that, she pretended to drink her chocolate milk until it was the same as Deric's. The next step was to exchange the man's drink for hers. However, she had to put the bottles together first. That way, Deric wouldn't suspect that the drinks were switched.

Caraline let out a long breath as her plan succeeded. A smile spread across her lips. In the dimly lit room, her face seemed to glow with happiness mixed with tension. "This way Deric and I will be kissing each other indirectly," she murmured.
