Tyler looked at Dorian calmly and said, "I heard from Chris that I promised to be the first to pick you up every day. Are you disappointed that I wasn't on time today?"

Tyler was speaking a little stiffly to Dorian, as if he was still processing the fact that he had a son.

A trace of disappointment flashed through Jean's eyes.

Dorian shook his head excitedly. "As long as you're here, I'm not disappointed. Will you come to fetch me every day, Dad?"
