Chapter Twelve: Meeting Zayn Kaida

Owen's Pov

I sighed as they left. I can't stop thinking about what Haru said. How can someone like him be interested in me? He's probably trying to get back at me. He even stole my first kiss.

Owen shuddered as he touched his lips.

He felt a tingling sensation in his ears.

I smelled blood. I stared at my reflection in the pool and ... I was right. My ears were bleeding.

"Fuck!" I cursed as I cleaned the blood with a towel. I stood up and left the pool. I entered my room and I locked the door.

Why are my ears bleeding again? Seriously?

I sat at the edge of my bed. Fluffy barked and I carried him. He looked different. I should probably take him to the vet.

"Don't worry, boy, I'll take you to the vet tomorrow", I said.

"Well, if I don't bleed to death", I added and Fluffy looked at me.

"I was just kidding. I'm not going anywhere, I promise."

THE NEXT DAY* DINING TABLE

Isa was surprised when she saw the triplets in the school uniform.

"What's going on?"

"We're your new classmates," Skylar replied, beaming with smiles.

"Really?" Isa asked, looking surprised.

She was feeling much better, thanks to Skylar.

"Yeah"

Isa wanted to say something but she hesitated when she saw Haru. He left without saying a word.

"Isn't this the third time he's skipping breakfast?" Skylar asked.

"I didn't know you were counting", Cameron replied as he held a fork.

Owen stood up and went upstairs. Niall followed him.

"Really?", Isa said as Nolan and Juan also left.

"I guess we're skipping breakfast then", What's wrong with everyone?", Isa said as she left with Cameron and Skylar.

Niall went to Owen's room and he saw Owen dressing up.

"Are you going out?"

"I'm taking Fluffy to the Vet."

"Okay, is something wrong?",

"With me or the dog?", Owen asked confusedly.

"The both of you"

"I think something's wrong with Fluffy."

"What about you?", Niall asked as he moved closer to him.

"I'm fine. Don't worry about me.", Owen replied and Niall suddenly dropped his crutch.

"Are you okay?", Owen asked as he picked the crutch and handed it to Niall.

"I think you should see your doctor."

"He's coming over today."

Owen sighed as he looked at Niall.

"Is that pity?", Niall asked as he smiled.

"Yeah, poor me.", Niall smiled softly.

Even though he could be a lot to handle, he's a big softie.

ICARUS HIGH

Isa ran to the rooftop. She has been avoiding Nolan all day.

"Sorry", Isa said as she bumped into Juan.

"Are you always this clumsy?", Juan asked softly.

"Not always", Isa said softly and pouted.

"I'm hiding from someone."

"Your boyfriend?", Juan asked

"He's not my boyfriend."

"So, fuckmate then?"

"Seriously?", Isa glared at Juan.

Suddenly, her phone rang.

"Oh my God", Isa said in a panic.

"Is that him? Answer it", Juan said.

The phone kept ringing but it only increased Isa's anxiety. In a panic, she threw her phone off the roof.

When she realized what she had done, she rushed to the edge of the roof, pushing Juan in the process. Juan fell and hit his head on a stone.

"Shit, are you okay?", Isa asked as she helped him up. "Oh no, your arm."

Juan grazed him on the hard ground.

She covered her mouth when she saw the cut on his forehead.

"I'm so sorry, let's go to the infirmary."

"Never mind, it's just a scratch," Juan said as Haru entered and glared at them.

"Okay", Isa said as they left.

*VETERINARY*

"So, what you're saying is that he feels neglected," Owen asked squinting his eyes.

"Yeah", the Vet replied.

"I have neglected him for the past few weeks; I thought there was something else," Owen said and shook his head.

He stood up to leave and saw someone.

"He's oddly familiar. Guess there's someone more beautiful than I am. No trophies in my case then", Owen said and sighed.

"The stranger bumped into Owen.

Owen sighed as he looked at the stranger.

"Great, I bumped into an ethereal man."

"Sorry, for bumping into you. Also, I'm sorry for being ethereal.

"He's even aware of his beauty, "Owen said in low tones.

" I don't know if you're aware, but you're handsome. Like, very handsome." The stranger said and smiled.

"You're silly," Owen said and carried Fluffy.

The stranger smiled and Owen sighed nonchalantly.

"Do you play video games?" The stranger asked.

"Is there someone that doesn't?", Owen retorted",

"Zayn Kaida ", the stranger said as he stretched his hand for a handshake.

"Zayn Kaida? CEO of Hibull?" Owen exclaimed as Wyatt covered his mouth with his left hand.

"Oh my God, I'm Norman... Norman North", Owen stuttered as he held Fluffy tightly.

"We just created a new game, do you want to be the first person to check it out?",

"Really?, I'm honoured", Owen said as he followed Zayn out of the veterinary.

He followed to his car and Zayn opened the door for him.

Owen got in, he was a bit flustered.

Zayn drove out to the parking lot and stepped on the pedal.

Owen was shocked, he took out his inhaler and took a few puffs.

"I'm sorry, I'm avoiding my bodyguards."

"I wondered why you'd be in a Veterinary without an animal. Why are you avoiding them?"

"I ran away a few days back. I've been stressed lately."

"It's not easy to be a CEO huh?",

"Not at all. By the way, how did you recognize me?",

"You looked familiar. Besides, Hibull is launching a new game soon. So, I just put two and two together." Owen said feeling proud of himself.

Zayn didn't need to honk before the gate was opened. Owen's jaw dropped as he looked at Wyatt's house. The famous N Village. It was a neighborhood that Zayn built, it was named after the first game he created. it was huge. A lot of gamers lived in N village. Owen's excitement was an understatement.

A lot of servants bowed to them as they entered the mansion.

Owen held Fluffy closer to him. He was extremely terrified of people.

A lot of people were greeting Zayn. They were gamers. Both male and female.

Owen knew he didn't belong there.

He followed Zayn to a separate building in the Village. It was a mansion. They kept walking but suddenly, Owen stopped.

Zayn noticed and he turned and saw Owen looking down. He clutched Fluffy to his chest.

"Hey, you okay?", Zayn asked as he moved closer to him.

"I don't think... I ... I belong here," Owen stuttered.

Zayn smiled and said softly, "I know you're scared of being around people."

"How do you know that?", Owen asked as he moved away from Zayn.

"The way you clutch your puppy to yourself. You're always avoiding eye contact and I was once like you. Probably not as handsome." Zayn said and Owen relaxed a little.

"That was why I brought you here. Not a lot of people are allowed to enter this building." Zayn said and they continued walking.

When they entered the building, Owen was amazed. It looked so unreal. The interior design. The building was shaped like a Tarantula.

"You can relax", Zayn said and Owen put Fluffy down. The dog ran away immediately its paws touched the ground.

"Hey," Owen said and he attempted to chase Fluffy.

"Don't worry, he'll come back," Wyatt said and looked at Owen. Their eyes met and Owen looked down immediately.

Zayn smiled and said. " Don't worry, I don't bite. At least not on Day One."

"I'm sorry." Owen blurted out.

"What are you sorry about?",

"I lied... " Owen added but Zayn was still confused.

"I don't know how to play video games. The only reason I know about you is because Anastasia played video games all the time. I'm sorry. I don't even know why I lied." Owen said as he kept looking down.

"Who's Anastasia?", Zayn asked, clearly unbothered by Owen's lie.

"She was my friend."

"Was ?"Zayn asked.

"She died last year."

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." Zayn apologized.

"No, it's fine. So,... you're not mad that I lied to you?"

"Not at all," Zayn said and smiled.

Owen also smiled and Fluffy ran in with a chew toy in his mouth.

"He probably found it in Felix's room."

" Is Felix your dog?" Owen asked.

"Yeah," Zayn said and Owen looked back."

"He saw a really cute guy carrying a shitzu."

"That's Yuki, and that's Felix."

Is the dog's name Felix?" Owen thought and shook his head.

"Yuki, this is Norman."

"Hi," Yuki said and smiled.

Owen replied and looked down shyly.

"Where did you go, Zayn, everyone was worried," Yuki said as he put Felix down.

"I took a break. I've been stressed lately. I'm sorry I made you worried.

"Worried, I just woke up. Everyone was asking where you went. I had to sleep in Rex's apartment."

"I'm sorry. Don't worry, I'll make it up to you." Zayn said.

"You better", Yuki said as he walked towards a couch and slept on it.

"You can always sleep in your room," Wyatt said.

"I haven't been there in a week," Yuki replied and snuggled into the couch. Felix climbed on him and Fluffy also did the same.

"Fuck me!" Yuki said and Zayn laughed.

"So, " Zayn said as he looked at Owen. "Do you wanna watch a movie instead?",

"Sure", Owen replied.

"Let's go to the theater then," Wyatt said.

"You have an indoor theatre?"

"Yeah."
