WICKED SEDUCTION CHAPTER 28

There was no announcement about Katherine Hamilton’s engagement with Liam Salcedo on news outlets and television, but I knew they were planning their wedding. Some of our common friends mentioned it, and except for Layla, they were all happy about the upcoming union of Katherine Hamilton and Liam Salcedo.

Since I was not in the mood to go back to work, I asked my father to lend one of his managers to manage mine for the time being. It was a risky move, especially when my sea freight business had been doing well in the previous months, and we were headed to expansion. I tried so hard to convince myself and go to work, but my mind and heart wouldn’t cooperate!

I knew I was wallowing in self-pity and self-destruction, but I couldn’t stop myself from being so melodramatic. I was aware that forgetting him and moving on were the only options to survive the recent heartbreak, but everything about Liam Salcedo haunted me!

At night, I would see him in my dreams!

During the daytime, I was always daydreaming, and the people around me were already frustrated at my actions, and they called me weak. My father was enraged when Salcedo cancelled the betrothal, but there was nothing we could do! I knew it would hurt the business relationship between our parents, but it seemed to me that Katherine Hamilton asked her father to meddle in the affair.

As the days passed by, I still had a problem with my anger management and trust issues. There were times when I convinced myself that I would be healed soon. But when? The pain of his betrayal was so damn hard to ignore! I smacked my pillow many times, but it did little to alleviate my aggravation, so I yelled as loud as I could to let out the rage that had been building up within me for days. However, it was insufficient, and the more enraged I became, the more they wanted to gratify myself became. I tried to ignore it, but it seemed like every cell in my body was clamouring to rise to the surface.

I had no choice!

To deal with my frustration, I went to the restroom to take a break before doing what I typically do when I'm frustrated; crying. When I first started touching myself, I turned on the shower to drown out the noises of ecstasy emanating from my lips. I tried it out with my middle finger and gasped for air as it pierced my dripping wetness! I had a feeling that would be so dang satisfying, but it felt different, and I didn’t like it!

So, I tried again.

I tried again while imagining Lee’s hardness inside me, and when I felt the desire burning up, I increased the pace of my finger, and in no time at all, did I burst out laughing when I attained orgasm!

It had been a long time since I had done so, and I didn't feel awful about it this time. That everything was done for me, for my body, and for my own personal happiness. Why in the world would I need a man?

It was something I shouldn't have been embarrassed about! It was never a disorder or an abnormality! I couldn't understand how society had persuaded me that it was something I shouldn't be doing at all!

Mustering the courage to be me again, I showered quickly because it was almost dinnertime, and my father ordered me to dine with him every night. I had no idea what’s gotten into the older man, but he became more overbearing than before! After applying a little make-up to my face, I donned one of my evening dresses, and then I was ready for dinner.

I was so distracted by thinking about that man again that I couldn't finish my meal during dinner. My father became enraged and yelled at me, but who cares? What he said was irrelevant to me; I couldn't care less about him. He caused me enough hardship by keeping me grounded most of the time, and whenever I went out, there should be a bodyguard! I was aware that he did it for my security, but I was just a kid, and I wanted to live an ordinary life. However, being Felix Montes’ only daughter, it wasn’t an option. He was a bully who enjoyed manipulating others, and I couldn't stand the sight of him! Daddy observed my grumpiness and smacked the dining table to attract my attention, and I was flustered!

“So if you don't want to eat, go to your room and shut the door, darn it!” He cursed, and I didn't waste any more time in obeying his command. I turned around when Aunt Jenny called me, but I didn’t go back to the dining table.

A loud smash of the door could be heard in the corridor when I entered my room and kicked it shut. It was me who had made the noise. The new bodyguard was fantastic, and he hasn't dared to show his fucking face to me since he was employed. He also had a compassionate demeanour, which I appreciated. However, Lee was someone I longed to see again!

Just as I was ready to fall asleep, I heard a constant hammering at my door. I moaned as I headed towards the door, and the expression on my father's face was one I didn't want to see before going to sleep that night.

"Can you tell me what it is this time?" I sneered at him. Even though he didn't respond, I saw how he beckoned with his hand for another person to join us, and I arched my brows in recognition of a stunning pair. "Can you tell me who they are?"

“Your new fiance,” he announced.

Upon hearing it, I glared at him for a second and asked, “A new fiance? What are you talking about, Daddy?” The thought of marrying someone other than Liam Salcedo made me feel like I was about to lose my mind.

“I’m talking about your wedding to a man who is going to save you from humiliation,” he said while clenching his jaws.

“Save me from what?”

“Don’t play dumb, Selena, because I know that you are pregnant with the bastard’s child!”
