SOMEONE'S WATCHING

"You look like a princess!" Hazel gasped.

I ran my hand down the fabric of my dress, smoothing it over before taking in a deep breath.

"You think so?" I asked.

She nodded as she came around the dress, lifting the skirt.

"It's so flowy."

I smiled. Aunt Sarah was a miracle worker

Kat and I had gone from store to store for days looking for the perfect dress.

But nothing we found was good enough. And if they were, they were way above my budget. Roman

had offered to pay but I had firmly refused him.

I knew that he usually saved the money he got from working for Uncle Victor because his foster parents

hardly gave him a penny. And he was still a few weeks away from getting his AAP allowance. I wasn't

at all comfortable with taking money from Roman.

Kat and I had pretty much given up on finding a dress for the ball until Aunt Sarah came to the rescue.

She had a seamstress friend, Miss Rachel, who had been making bridesmaid dresses. One of the dresses
