Zack’s POV

We had just finished from the picnic. Freda said she wanted to go to her house to get some things. I told the driver to take us there.

In some minutes, we could see the familiar trees and lanes that lead to Freda’s gouse. As the car drove closer to it, I could see someone at the door. It was a woman. She was wearing a black top over denim trousers.

Wondering if she was expecting anyone, I asked, “Are you expecting someone? “

“No, I wonder who that is. “ she replied.

The stranger heard the car sound and turned around quickly. It was Ruby. She was once Freda’s best friend. What does she want now? I thought.

“Ruby? “Freda said.

“Freda. “ she answered.

“What are you doing here? “ She asked her.

“I don’t understand that question. “ Ruby answered.

“Well since you can’t hear very well, what are you doing in my house. “ Freda asked again. She was furious now, I could tell.

“Why? “ Ruby started, “I can’t come to your house anymore? I used to come over all the time before.
