Knocks at Kliara’s room

Kliara woke up to the sound of knocks on her door, she realized that she had fallen asleep by her window and when she looked out from her window to the tree in the garden, there was no sign of Jacob.

The knocks continued

Kliara stood up to go answer the door, when she opened it, she was greeted by one of the help.

“Good morning, your father request your presence at his office,” the help gave her the message and left.

Kliara heads to Williams office, she knocks on the door and is asked to come in.

“Good morning father, you asked for me” Kliara replied

Kliara noticed her father packing some things from his office as though he was going somewhere.

“Good morning my daughter,” he answered “how is my little werewolf’s hunter training going” Williams asked

“I’m doing good father, my masters said I will soon be done with training” Kliara answered

“I heard” Williams replied feeling proud of Kliara’s progress

“You are leaving” Kliara immediately cuts in.

“An urgent matter had arise and my presence is needed” Williams replied

“Then take me with you father, you know I’m ready” Kliara persuaded Williams.

But Williams declined her .

“You have much more to learn and you haven’t yet become a fully fledged werewolf hunter” Williams said

“When I get back, then all preparations will be made I promise” he continued

“So when will you return?” Kliara asked.

Williams didn’t give kliara a straight answer, instead he told her to take care of her mother and the Finth’s mansion till he arrives.

Williams embraces Kliara as they say their goodbyes.

“How is that valet of yours, he causing any trouble” Williams asked as he was about leaving

“Nothing I can’t handle” Kliara Answered

“That’s my girl,” Williams replied with a smile as he made his leave.

Jacob saw Williams leave and had a feeling that it was trouble since the full moon was fast approaching. He noticed that he wasn’t traveling light so he won’t be at the mansion for a while.

I have to use this to my advantage to find anything that will lead me to the oracle Jacob thought to himself.

Not long after, Jacob was called to the garden by Kliara. To Jacob the garden was not an easy place to be at because of the wolfbane all around the garden.

It weakens Jacob that was why he was at the garden the other night because with the coming of the full moon, his power grew uncontrollable and he was yet to find what he was looking for.

So weakening himself is the only option he’s got

He got to the garden where he saw Kliara sitting just her feeding the birds.

“Are we going out today?” he asked as he approached her, hiding his weakness from the wolfsbane.

“ well I called you out here to know what you have decided concerning teaching me your archery tricks” Kliara answered softly

Jacob noticed a change in her behavior towards him and didn’t know why but he saw a chance and wasn’t going to give it up.

He sat with her and after a brief silence he had an idea.

“Okay, I will teach you what I know for something in return” Jacob replied

He just keeps amazing me, trying to throw a bargain with me, that’s at first for even a nobody Kliara thought

“So what is it you want?” Kliara asked wanting to know what someone like Jacob could possibly want from her

“I want to see the dungeon” Jacob replied

Jacob’s request caught Kliara off guard as flashbacks to what she had witnessed at the dungeon back when she was little came to her. She wasn’t expecting such a request.

“And how would you know about such dungeon you are referring too” Kliara had to ask

Jacob knows how smart Kliara is so he had to come up with something so as not to get suspicious.

“I believe in the old stories too, stories of the great war between humans and creatures of the night, let’s just say my generation is into such things” Jacob answered with a curious tone.

Kliara was at first surprised by Jacob's answer but on second thought she was somewhat impressed to see that another person other than herself was curious to find more concerning the topic werewolves.

“And why would you think such dungeon would be here” Kliara asked Jacob once more

“I know the great houses have some sort of connection to the stories too, so do we have a deal” Jacob tries to end the conversation to avoid more questions from Kliara.

Kliara after much thought, stood up and extended her hands to Jacob to seal the deal with a handshake, Jacob did the same and as both their hands met, Jacob felt a feeling he was quite familiar with coming from Kliara which immediately made him let his guard down as he stares at Kliara with an expression that she haven’t seen from him before.

“Are you okay?” Kliara asked.

Jacob immediately snapped out of it and released his hand but Kliara clenched back his hand

“The deal stands when I’ve learned it and only when I’ve learned it, do you understand” Kliara stated, still holding his hand.

Jacob agrees before Kliara lets go of his hand.

“And I believe we should begin with it immediately” Jacob Replied

Kliara nodded as though Jacob had read her mind.

“I will go get the equipment, meet you in a short while” Jacob responded as he left Kliara.

Jacob walked calmly to the room where the equipment was kept and immediately he entered the room, he shut the door with his back pressed against it, his heart beating fast as he breath increased, almost panting .

He saw his hand shaking as he clutched it tightly wrapping it around his chest.

“It can’t be, why is this happening now”

The feeling he sensed coming from Kliara was one he never hoped he would witness again as it was exactly the same feeling he felt from his mate before her demise.
