Over the days of kliara’s training, Jacob was there to carry her training kits and serve her demanding needs all day long and each time klaira made Jacob’s day hell, he complied effortlessly making kliara more pissed off and more curious as to what kind of man Jacob was.
Although Jacob was under her control, kliara doesn’t feel that her messing around with Jacob actually meant a thing to him, instead someone she wanted to put in his place became a challenge for her. Meanwhile Kliara aces all her training in becoming a hunter, she was so good in handling any weapon given to her and this marveled Jacob who was always there watching her. When it comes to training, she was not easily distracted as she put all her efforts and focus in achieving an outstanding result. Due to her excellent results, Kliara was done with training in no time and was sent to go out hunting wild animals to test her skills. ‘Time is running out, i need to find the information on the location of the oracle’ Jacob was thinking to himself as he follows kliara to go train her archery skills in hunting. ‘she hasn’t given me more of a chance to look for what i want ’ he continued because what he thought to be an easy job became a difficult one to him because of kliara. But in order not to raise any suspicion, he kept waiting for the right moment. “Stay close to me always, else you want to be food for wild animals out here” kliara breaks the silence between them as she addresses Jacob coldly. Jacob remains quiet as he continues following her. They searched and waited for hours, and just like other days kliara found no animal to use in testing her skills in archery. This was because Jacob found it cruel with no enough reason to kill animals just for training, being an apex predator himself he had marked his territory there making no single animal to be seen within sight. With another unsuccessful hunt, kliara decided to call it a day as it was getting late but just then Jacob sensed an incoming threat. He knows no animal will dare come their way except it was not in control of itself, kliara was quickly alerted by the rapid movements in the bushes as she got her crossbow ready and pointed it to the direction where it was coming from. Kliara was cautious and at the same time nervous because it was her first time facing such a situation. It wasn’t long then there it was. A wild boar dashes out of the bushes charging at them, Kliara was ready to take her shot when the string on the crossbow got loose. Kliara immediately tried to connect back the string with the wild boar closing in. Jacob watching all this figured that the boar had gone rabid as he saw its eyes full of rage with no fear of his presence, he never wanted to interfere but Jacob saw no other option as the boar was closing in on Kliara who was still trying to fix back the string. Not wanting to use his powers to avoid being discovered by Kliara, Jacob got out the spare bow and arrow he was holding and immediately shot at the wild boar accurately between its eyes which brought it crashing down immediately. Due to the close distance between kliara and the wild boar, Jacob quickly drags Kliara out of the way to avoid being hit by the falling boar. It happened so fast that after everything, Kliara found herself in Jacob's arms. This was the first time Kliara had been that close to Jacob, she could feel the warmth coming from jacob's body and for the first time she felt vulnerable. “The trick is not to force the string on the bow” Jacob muttered to Kliara who was still in his arms. Kliara pushes herself away immediately from Jacob, not knowing if to thank him for saving her life or scold him for interfering with her training. She stared at Jacob who looked so calm and was in no way phased by what had just happened, meanwhile she was trying so hard not to break character and show how shaken she was. “It’s getting late, let’s take the kill and head back” she spoke softly this time as she can’t bring herself to thank Jacob. She was not just upset that Jacob, who her father had considered a lowlife, not only bested her at her hunt and had saved her life but now she also felt this thing for him. Jacob saw through kliara, he knew just how shaken up and disappointed she was and dared not rub it to her face. ‘I had to do something if not it would all be over, she is still important to me’ Jacob thought to himself as he sensed the guilt and disappointment coming from her. Back home, Williams was marvelled by the kill and praised Kliara on how almost ready she was to become a hunter. “She was quite amazing” Jacob interrupted Kliara, joining Williams in praising her He had overheard Williams and quickly stopped kliara who was about to tell Williams what had actually happened. Kliara was shocked and confused at Jacob’s reply. ‘What is he trying to play at, does he think I need his pity?’ Kliara thought as she excuses herself. The next day Jacob met with Kliara as she was preparing to set out to hunt.“I didn’t know we will be going hunting today” Jacob asked“Well I’m going hunting while you remain here” Kliara answered Jacob without even looking or paying attention to him. Jacob sensed she might still be troubled concerning what had happened at the previous hunt because they haven’t come to talk about it since it happened.“But I’m supposed to go with you and I don’t want to get into trouble” Jacob insisted This time Kliara stopped what she was doing and was face to face with Jacob “I don’t need protection from you or anyone else” she warned and left Jacob But that didn’t stop Jacob from packing some tools and going after her. After covering some distance Klaira turned and noticed Jacob still following her.She just ignored him and continued walking. Knowing Kliara can’t ignore him forever, he cuts in“You looked troubled and that won’t help you in your quest to hunt, it makes you lack focus ”Kliar
Knocks at Kliara’s roomKliara woke up to the sound of knocks on her door, she realized that she had fallen asleep by her window and when she looked out from her window to the tree in the garden, there was no sign of Jacob. The knocks continued Kliara stood up to go answer the door, when she opened it, she was greeted by one of the help.“Good morning, your father request your presence at his office,” the help gave her the message and left.Kliara heads to Williams office, she knocks on the door and is asked to come in.“Good morning father, you asked for me” Kliara replied Kliara noticed her father packing some things from his office as though he was going somewhere.“Good morning my daughter,” he answered “how is my little werewolf’s hunter training going” Williams asked“I’m doing good father, my masters said I will soon be done with training” Kliara answered “I heard” Williams replied feeling proud of Kliara’s progress “You are leaving” Kliara immediately cuts in.“An urgent
“Where is he? He's taking too long, " Klaira said to herself. She has been waiting for Jacob for a while now, Kliara was about heading back when she saw Jacob coming.“ you took your time” Kliara told Jacob“ I got caught up with something else” Jacob replied “ well next time I won’t wait this long” Kliara warns “so let’s start” she continued “I can’t teach you such skill here, you know of any other place? they are many eyes watching” Jacob replied “You are serious” Kliara asked “Guess I don’t want to draw too much attention” Jacob answered Kliara sighed and asked Jacob to follow her. On their way Jacob stares continuously at Kliara as he walks behind her, having thoughts of what had just happened when their hands met.He was carried away with thoughts as It got to a point where Kliara turned and caught him staring at her. This is the second time he’s looked at me that way Kliara thought to herself as she slowly began to notice more and more changes displayed by Jacob. They walk
It was already past midnight, Kliara had just woken up from her sleep, she saw that it was already dark and immediately remembered that she and Jacob were supposed to meet. “I must have slept off," she said to herself as she was already late. She quietly left her room and went straight to where they planned to meet. She got there and there was no sign of Jacob. She decided to wait a while to see if Jacob would come back but there was no sign of him.“Well I won’t blame him if he doesn’t come back, it’s all my fault” Kliara lashes out for not fulfilling her own part of their deal. She decide to return back to her room, but after taking a few steps she seemed to have noticed the lights from the moon with the cold breeze that followed and a thought came to her.Instead of heading back to her room, she quietly walks to the garden hoping to be right and as she had thought, there he was at the same spot from last time she saw him through her window. She went closer and called out to Jaco
In a soft glow of the moon’s light, Jacob gently reached for the hem of Kliara’s top, his fingers trembling slightly with the intensity of his emotions. She meets his gaze, her eyes reflecting a mix of anticipation and trust. As he slowly lifts the fabric, she feels the warmth of his hands against her skin, a sensation that sends shivers down her spine. The room seems to hold its breath, the only sound the gentle rustling of fabric. Jacobs touch is tender, a silent promise of the love and care he now feels for her. Kliara smiles, her heart swelling with the knowledge that she is cherished and desired in equal measure. This moment, filled with intimacy and affection, is a testament to the deep connection they share.……..Jacob woke up and beside him lies Kliara, still fast asleep. He remembered how intimate both of them were earlier as he watched how peaceful she was and knew then he had bonded with her and would protect her. The problem of Kliara being a human and not just human bu
The morning was already heavy with heat as Jacob made his way down the winding path toward Mike’s cabin. He hadn’t seen Mike in a while, not since when Jacob had told him he was going to the Finth’s. But if there was anyone who could help him decode the symbol’s true meaning, it was Mike. The cabin sat quiet at the edge of a small clearing, half-swallowed by the trees. Smoke no longer curled from the chimney. The front door was shut, and the woodpile by the side was stacked high, freshly chopped. But no one answered when Jacob knocked. He waited, then walked round the cabin, peering through the window. The coffee pot was still warm. Boots missing from their usual place by the door.Jacob stood back, rubbing the back of his neck.“Hunting,” he muttered. “Of course.”Mike was always chasing deer or boar this time when he was still with him he figured, more meat meant more coin before the first frost. He’d probably be back before sundown, hauling game on his back like he always did Jaco
The moon hung low over the Finth’s Mansion, Jacob was already back. He had no idea of Williams' return or what was waiting for him. He wanted to see Kliara as that was the only thing he had been thinking of since he left Mike’s.To see if he could lure her out he decided to go by the garden once more and see if she would come by the window same as always otherwise he had to find other means even if it involved sneaking into her room because he had to see her at that moment.Without wasting more time he walked down the garden like he said he would but was shocked to find Kliara there already. His face quickly lit up with excitement at the same time worried because he doesn’t know how Kliara would react after telling her the truth.Jacob went to meet Kliara who was just sitting by a bench in the garden. As Jacob approached quietly, he could feel something was off with Kliara.Kliara sat on the stone bench, utterly pensive, the moonlight weaving silver patterns through her loose braid.
Kliara felt the world tilt beneath her feet. The night air, heavy with the scent of damp earth and crushed rose petals stung her lungs with every ragged breath. She couldn’t look away as Jacob struggled to keep standing after being pierced by so many arrows. She watched, paralyzed, as more arrows found their way into Jacob in a deadly rhythm. Her fingers curled into the lace of her gloves until the fabric bit into her skin. Guilt and relief warred in her chest in equal measure, relief that her father’s brilliant plan had worked, that the monster they hunted yet also the same person she loved could be silenced. She wanted to scream, to throw herself at her father and beg him to stop. But her limbs would not respond as she stood still, a single tear traced a burning path down her cheek as she realized the cost of loyalty to her bloodline.Time slowed as Jacob’s gray eyes, wild with pain and concern not for himself but for Kliara, found hers.If it was possible to speak with the eyes th
While unconscious, Kliara had remembered when she took Jacob to go teach her how to shoot a bow like he does at the place she said was special to her, immediately she figured it out, that was what Jacob had meant by saying I will wait for you at your special place as she slowly regained consciousness.Kliara’s eyelids fluttered as if woken from a long, uneasy dream, a delicate tremor at first before she blinked, slow and uncertain. Her throat was dry, her limbs heavy as if wrapped in lead. She tried to lift an arm but it failed as she was too weak to do so or anything at all, she felt a hand warm and steady against her own and as she looked to know whose it was, she saw it was her mom.“Mom?” she rasped, her voice scarcely more than a breath. Her mother, seated in the wicker chair beside the bed, straightened at the sound as a wave of relief washed across her countenance.“Sweetheart, you’re awake,” Thelma whispered, pressing a kiss to Kliara’s forehead. Her voice trembled just enough
Kliara was getting ready for the ceremony Williams had told her about. To her, it was a ceremony to make her a full fledged werewolf hunter but unbeknownst to her, it was something more than that, she just knew that today was quite a special day for the werewolf hunters according to her father.“I will be waiting for you at your special place, what does he mean by that” Kliara thought quietly Still trying to figure out what Jacob might have meant by that, Kliara sighed.“I hope that he is okay,” she muttered, feeling concerned about Jacob's whereabouts. But just thinking about how he had survived the multiple arrows being shot at him and still found the strength to transform, Kliara became less worried as Jacob was actually the strongest being she had seen.A knock came in as the door to her chambers was opened, it was Thelma who came to see her daughter before the big ceremony.“My little angel, you look beautiful in your dress” Thelma immediately complimented Kliara as she walked i
Jacob’s wounds were almost completely healed as he ran as fast as he could to warn Mike. He have always had it in his mind since the day Mike helped him and took him in that this day would come, that was while he never told Mike his plans despite all Mike’s efforts to make him talk.He got to Mike’s but before going in, he watched from a distance to scout out the surroundings, seeing no movement, he approached Mike’s cabin.“Oh no, I’m too late” Mike said, after seeing that the door to Mike’s cabin had been broken into. He made his way inside and discovered that everywhere had been trashed as though those responsible were searching for information. But his sharp sense of hearing caught a noise coming from one of the rooms. He traced and walked into the room the noise was coming from but after inspecting it, he found nothing.Jacob now was filled with guilt and worry concerning Mike’s whereabouts, he had no idea if William's men had got to him or if Mike had spotted them on time and ma
“Are you hurt?” Williams quickly rushed to Kliara “I’m alright Father, are you injured?” Kliara asked back“I’m still breathing and that makes me lucky” Williams replied “But I’m still finding it hard to figure out what an Alpha could be looking for here” Williams said, still surprised at what he had witnessed.“Did he tell you anything or left a clue concerning what he wanted?” Williams asked. But he was met with no answers from Kliara as she doesn’t know how to answer Williams' questions.Feeling that Kliara was still shocked about what had just happened, he went ahead to try and calm her down.“I know all these seem new to you, but this is who we are and what we do, I’m sorry you had to witness it this way” Williams said to Kliara. But instead, what was running through Kliara's mind was far from what Williams thought. She kept thinking of all her time with Jacob, how he talked, how he moved. How he was always not wanting to draw attention to himself, all these have clicked perfec
