‘How can I be this stupid and careless’ Jacob said to himself, He was confused and didn’t know what else to do. ‘I have to think of something fast, if my identity and the reason I’m here are revealed, things will become more worse than they already are’ Jacob continues Jacob went back to work, he was calm and continued doing his job but was watchful as he kept looking to see if he could meet with Kliara again. knowing full well the plans that lead him here and how important his duty was. After waiting for a while still without seeing Kliara, he became restless and decided to go look for her. Kliara entered the hall where her Father had called for her, as anticipated by her, not only her Father was present but also other great houses were seated with him as she was familiar with most of them. “You are welcome my daughter” Williams gave Kliara a gesture to sit with them. He continued “As you are aware, I have waited for this day to come as you are now up to age and as my heir and only child, all who are present in this room are here to witness as my responsibilities have also become yours” A lot was made known to Kliara, secrets about the werewolves and hunters alike and how it is their duty to stand against them. The great battle between the Hunters (humans imbued with powers for heightened senses, agility and strength by magic known to them as Oracle) and werewolves (cursed creatures of the night, half humans half werewolves) began at the dawn of time. Fear of being overpowered by the werewolves drives the human to discover a strange power, Oracle, and with this new found power, the humans come together and show their strength . This act brought into existence two worlds : that of the humans and for the werewolves both constantly at war with each other over the years. A truce was made and a law put into place stating that each species should remain at their own part of the world. Over the years due to the truce, many had forgotten about the war as it was told as stories. But such truce was never meant to last forever as werewolves still live in the world of humans having found ways to conceal their werewolf side like Mike. None of what was said made Kliara panic as she seems to have found a new purpose amidst the constant boredom and feeling of being trapped at the house. ‘So all the stories i’ ve heard concerning werewolves and hunters are not only true but I’m supposed to hold all these secrets and start my training.’ Kliara said to herself amused, feeling excited as though she had waited for this very moment all her life. “When will I become fully a hunter” she asked “When you have truly proven yourself” one of the members replied. Having telling Kliara all she need to know, all were dismissed, Kliara and Williams went for a walk. “Can i really become a hunter Father” She asked Williams curious to know what he have to say Williams ecstatic on how Kliara took the big reveal answered “You will make a fine hunter because you are my daughter and moreover you seem to take the news far more better than I did when I was your age” Williams jokingly added “Now that you will start your training, a valet will be assigned to you who will take care of your needs while training”. Williams said Kliara got riled up immediately on hearing what her Father had said concerning having a valet, she had never liked the company of others, in order not to argue much about it. “On the condition I have to choose a valet myself” Kliara stated Williams protested against it for a while but later agreed requesting that once she made a choice, he should know about it. Reaching an agreement, Kliara excused herself and headed back to her room. On her way, she came across Jacob again “You again” she said passing by Jacob as she scoffed “I came by your room, you weren’t in” Jacob told her Kliara stopped “how bold of you, and you were not stopped” she muttered “I’ve got my ways” Jacob said as he walks to stand face to face with Kliara “You never replied my question” he added “what can I do to keep the secret between us” Jabob asked without any form of remorse “Who does he think he is” with his attitude pissing off Kliara more and more, she decided not to let him off that easily but instead she should mess with him as part of her revenge . “You will report to my Father Tomorrow” Kliara stated, taking a brief pause ‘I guess there is nothing else to do, my way didn’t work out’ Jacob thought to himself feeling that Kliara has already reported the incident to her Father. “To serve as my valet” Kliara continued, after which she left without waiting for any reply from Jacob. Jacob was confused at first as well as relieved . “As a valet she says” he whispers He knows how dangerous the situation had become but not wanting to let such an opportunity pass him by, he kept thinking of how easy now the information he is seeking will be retrieved.
