Pazuzu read the text several times to make sure that he was reading the right thing; and once he had confirmed that he was, he couldn’t help but be baffled by what he was seeing.“Now that is just a dumb thing to do. Why would you tell a random person exactly how to break the seal? This seems like the work of that idiot Humbaba” Pazuzu sighed in disappointment as he read the text again. While he was pleased that he wouldn’t have to do much, he was disappointed in the people he once called his family. How could they be so naive? Which idiot would tell someone exactly how to release a horde of demons? Even to Pazuzu, this did not make sense at all. It was almost too good to be true. If there was any doubt that this was not the right place, that doubt was gone now; and it was all thanks to a silly message left behind by the gods.“Sometimes I wonder if we truly were born of the same parent,” the Wind Demon King shook his head in disgust. However, the sooner he spoke those words, the soon
As Pazuzu was greeted by the light outside the tunnel, his mind wondered what he could do next. He did not have any leads to follow, and the one thing that he had found had been taken away from him in the most cruel of jokes.“Is there any who would know what I seek?” he asked himself, trying hard to recall everything he knew thus far. Maybe - just maybe - there was something that he had missed. However, when he tried to recall what was necessary; when he tried to dig up the memories that he was confident he could find something in, his mind drew a blank as though those memories were forcefully suppressed.“This damned seal is not letting off even after my release!” Pazuzu exclaimed in a anger and punched the ground.*Boom*With a deafening groan a huge crater that spanned several hundreds of meters in diameter was formed. The cat that lay atop the Wind Demon King’s shoulders trembled as it was engulfed in its master’s fear.“To think you’d still be impressing on me even when you’re g
The Tower of the Hundred was a tower that was known by every elder of the three Great Races. The tower in itself had no great use other than it’s absolute defense and ability to reappear. What made the tower famous was the one who occupied it; and her name was Ashera.Ashera stood upon the roof of the Tower of the Hundred with her eyes fixed onto a ring of clouds located in the east. The lady who was always so calm and composed had a worried expression on her face, and within those orbs, some fear could be seen.“He has awakened,” she stuttered nervously. While it was questionable that she had been able to infer this from just the clouds, this was not a normal world. This was a world were people controlled elements and possessed the ability to take on powerful beasts. There was nothing ordinary here.“I did not think that it would be so soon,” she mumbled. Per her predictions, the one called Pazuzu should have only awakened after a few more decades at the very least. That would have b
Pazuzu was making his way to Intersection when he felt the distinct aura of a Wind Demon. His eyes flashed brightly as he abandoned his initial pursuit. Without any hesitation he turned towards the direction of that aura and pulled his cat off his shoulder and into his arms. For someone known for his callousness, he sure was gentle when it came to his pet.“Hold on tight,” he gently informed the cat as he petted its fur. It meowed comfortably before nodding its head intelligently and nuzzling into his bosom. Once it was comfortable enough, Pazuzu nodded his head and pushed forward, fracturing the ground he stood upon!*Boom*Like a comet he flew into the sky and dashed past numerous clouds. He who was the Wind Demon King could easily summon the clouds to carry him to his destination, but he was in too much of a hurry to pick such a luxurious form of travel. After all, he did not know when that aura would disappear. He had to get to it before it did. Five seconds - that was ll the time
As Ashera tried to process what was happening, she was given another clue. For suddenly a strange symbol appeared on Pazuzu’s forehead. The symbol was that of a six-sided star, and it appeared right above Pazuzu’s right eyebrow. It glowed with a trace of malice and unruliness, and Ashera’s eyes sparkled when she saw it.“The Insidious Seal of David” Ashera could not help but be surprised by the star; but her surprise did not deter her from identifying it. The Insidious Seal was a sealing technique that could only be used by Cree royalty - royalty that Ashera was certain had been wiped out because Pazuzu had made sure of that. The Cree royal family was the head of the Cree god clan, a clan which Pazuzu had forced into extinction, leaving only the demon faction behind. Humbaba was the last remaining survivor of the Cree god clan before he cast himself into a seal with Pazuzu. His disappearance marked the disappearance of the Cree god clan from the universe as well. This meant that techn
Once Asherah had made up her mind, she sprung into action. Her eyes flashed brightly as the winds gathered around her, morphing into several wind blades that were as long as a door yet as thin as a hair strand. At a rough estimate, there were at least twenty of these wind blades behind Asherah! The wind hummed strongly as the wind blades swiftly consolidated themselves.“Blood Arts: Infusion”Asherah’s slit her palm as she spoke. Several drops of blood few out of the cut and coated the blades, giving them a red hue. Their edges became sharper, and the auras that surrounded them grew more menacing after the blood baptism. It was like giving a tiger wings; her blood had added onto the power of her wind blades.Sensing that she had done enough, Asherah gestured with a wave of her hands, and the winds blades flew towards Pazuzu with great ferocity!*Whoosh*The winged cat on Pazuzu’s shoulder meowed to get him out of his current state. Unfortunately, Pazuzu’s ballooning emotions had trigg
A red beam of light descended from the sky and smashed into the blood tsunami. The powerful storm that seemed capable of destroying the world was immediately blown to bits by the unexpected strike from the heavens, and the land grew calm for a second; but only for a second. For Asherah had not stopped her charge. Her eyes shone with a cruel haze as she adjusted her spear and readied her throwing arm. With a violent swing of her arm the spear was tossed towards the ascending Pazuzu, whistling through the air with vicious intent.“Hmph,” Pazuzu grunted. His eyes flashed coldly as he pulled his arm back. Blood escaped his injured lip and fell onto his arm, causing it to shine brightly like it had been engulfed in a sea of blood. Without a weapon he punched forward viciously, his attack generating several ripples in the air!*Boom*With nothing but his flesh and the assistance of the Blood Arts, Pazuzu clashed with the vicious spear and successfully warded it off! Without halting to take
The spear that was engulfed in the red beam disappeared. In its place was a pole that was half a meter in diameter and at least four meters tall. The pole was engraved with several blasphemous images – images that screamed blasphemy against the one who was the King of the Wind Demons. For upon its surface had been engraved images of the Wind Demon King pinned underneath the talons of a phoenix, a creature of fire that was said to be the bane of the Wind Demons. Around the phoenix were several strange looking bats that possessed eyes so red that they were not concealed by the redness of the Asherah Pole! Floating above the pole was Asherah, the one whom the pole was named after and the woman who would have become the Queen of all Wind Demons had she accepted the proposal of Pazuzu several years ago. Her eyes were red as crimson, and her hair had adopted the same hue. The green that signified the brilliance of the wind was no more. All that remained was a fiery heat that didn’t come nat
