The Tower of the Hundred was a tower that was known by every elder of the three Great Races. The tower in itself had no great use other than it’s absolute defense and ability to reappear. What made the tower famous was the one who occupied it; and her name was Ashera.Ashera stood upon the roof of the Tower of the Hundred with her eyes fixed onto a ring of clouds located in the east. The lady who was always so calm and composed had a worried expression on her face, and within those orbs, some fear could be seen.“He has awakened,” she stuttered nervously. Pazuzu was making his way to Intersection when he felt the distinct aura of a Wind Demon. His eyes flashed brightly as he abandoned his initial pursuit. Without any hesitation he turned towards the direction of that aura and pulled his cat off his shoulder and into his arms. For someone known for his callousness, he sure was gentle when it came to his pet.“Hold on tight,” he gently informed the cat as he petted its fur. It meowed comfortably before nodding its head intelligently and nuzzling into his bosom. As Ashera tried to process what was happening, she was given another clue. For suddenly a strange symbol appeared on Pazuzu’s forehead. The symbol was that of a six-sided star, and it appeared right above Pazuzu’s right eyebrow. It glowed with a trace of malice and unruliness, and Ashera’s eyes sparkled when she saw it.“The Insidious Seal of David” Ashera could not help but be surprised by the star; but her surprise did not deter her from identifying it. Once Asherah had made up her mind, she sprung into action. Her eyes flashed brightly as the winds gathered around her, morphing into several wind blades that were as long as a door yet as thin as a hair strand. At a rough estimate, there were at least twenty of these wind blades behind Asherah! A red beam of light descended from the sky and smashed into the blood tsunami. The powerful storm that seemed capable of destroying the world was immediately blown to bits by the unexpected strike from the heavens, and the land grew calm for a second; but only for a second. For Asherah had not stopped her charge. Her eyes shone with a cruel haze as she adjusted her spear and readied her throwing arm. With a violent swing of her arm the spear was tossed towards the ascending Pazuzu, whistling through the air with vicious intent.“Hmph,” Pazuzu grunted. The spear that was engulfed in the red beam disappeared. In its place was a pole that was half a meter in diameter and at least four meters tall. The pole was engraved with several blasphemous images – images that screamed blasphemy against the one who was the King of the Wind Demons. For upon its surface had been engraved images of the Wind Demon King pinned underneath the talons of a phoenix, a creature of fire that was said to be the bane of the Wind Demons. Around the phoenix were several strange looking bats that possessed eyes so red that they were not concealed by the redness of the Asherah Pole! Floating above the pole was Asherah, the one whom the pole was named after and the woman who would have become the Queen of all Wind Demons had she accepted the proposal of Pazuzu several years ago. His eyes flashed with coldness as the image of the Griffin behind him became more solidified. Seeing this, Asherah furrowed her brows in thought.“Hehe,” Pazuzu chuckled upon seeing her befuddled expression. With a smug smile and a sense of satisfaction welling up within his soul that even he could not understand, he said,“Wondering why I am able to use my power now?”“No. I don’t need you to explain your abilities to me. I don’t have the time nor the energy to listen to the words of a man with one foot in the grave.” Asherah’s harsh words caused Pazuzu’s face to scrunch up into a scowl.
