I have a toast to make

Thankfully, today I wake up much better, as yesterday my back was stiff from so much pain. The medications aren't working as I expected so I try to keep myself busy with enough tasks to distract myself.

Sophia arrived two hours ago and for the first two hours she's been putting her mouth on me for not telling her about the pregnancy and how much she was hurt and of what a liar I am and all the pure drama involving her and now she is laughing at me. I can't stop analyzing the diamond ring on her ring finger.

“Stop laughing,” I speak, putting my swollen feet up on the bed.

“You are crazy,” she says, lounging in the corner.

“It's complicated Sophia, everything is very complicated.” I lightly massage my tummy, a little bigger than a basketball.

“Being a mother must be complicated.” She fiddles with her fingers as if guilty of something.

“I don't know and now I'm going to be a mother of three.” I tilt my head. “What is it, Sophia?”

She clears her throat. “I'm pregnant.”
