My stress is finally over the sale of the house and the search for a new one is not great because Selena said the word I so longed for: yes. Her eyes sparkled even brighter than the ring, little did she know how long I had it with me for!

I smile as if I am the luckiest son of a bitch in the world for my accepted proposal. The noise of my cellphone ringing through the car speakers wakes me from my daydreams.

“Hello, Jimmy,” I speak as I reduce speed to stop at the red light. The traffic was insane for some reason today and it wasn’t even the weekend or a bank holiday.

“Let's go to Eric's house,” he suggests.

“What's there?” I ask, rolling my eyes. Now Jimmy is my guy alright but he could be so dramatic, I could mistake him for a girl!

“The girls are at your house having a party. We've been left behind, man,” he says, grudgingly.

“I know.” I look both ways to analyze the best route to get to Eric's apartment. “So, I'll be there in five minutes."
