Best thing in the world

I can hear my own heart beating; I am so still. As if standing still would help with anything. As they say, no women can ever hold a secret for too long or be in suspense! It is the ultimate form of torture.

My heart nearly leaps into my mouth when Hunter opens the door. I am sitting behind the balls, so it is pretty clear what I am presenting here. I was tempted to bite my nails though.

He approaches silently, scanning me and the three balls, not quite understanding. He steps closer and reads the three plaques on each ball. When he finishes, that perfect mouth breaks into a huge smile for me.

“There are three boys, my 3 boys!” he says, choking up.

“Yes,” I confirm, smiling. His happiness was out of bounds as he collected all the 3 balls in his arms as though our babies were in front of him.

“I'm almost the luckiest man in the world.” Then he frowns. “All I need is an answer.”

“You've already had your answer.” I smile.

“I made you a proposal.” He sits in front of me, moving the balls.
