Chapter 97

Schuyler's P. O. V.

“Ready yourselves,” Archie suddenly said after a moment of another silence. “The lycans are here.”

It seems that his companions weren't able to kill the lycans they were supposed to face. I looked outside of the car’s window and at first, I wasn't able to notice anything myself, but when I paid more attention, I saw the tree branches moving—not because of wind, but because of the lycans running faster than our car.

“They’ll block us, for sure.” Honey commented and when I glanced at her, I saw her glancing outside of the window too and watching the lycans. “They're too many and stronger, we can't defeat them.”

I looked at Archie in agreement to what Honey said. No matter how strong Archie may think of himself or the people around him, he still can be outnumbered by his enemies—causing his downfall.

“Archie, if we surrender—”

“We're not surrendering!” He immediately cut me off with a clenched jaw. “I would never.”
