The next day, Rachel cleared up her schedule to help Laura move into her new place.

Fortunately, her team had also come to help, so Dylan and Peter helped her with the heavy lifting. After everything was placed where it was supposed to be, Laura took the initiative to treat everyone to lunch as her thanks.

As they left the restaurant, Rachel, who had borrowed Brian’s car, offered to drop Laura off. So she and her team separated there. On their ride back, Rachel noticed that Laura kept glancing at her phone.

“Are you waiting for a call?” Rachel asked her when she noticed her do it for the sixth time.

“Kinda, I wanted James to come today too, but he has some business out of town, but he said he’ll do his best to come. I’m waiting for his response on the time he’ll be coming,” Laura explained, and Rachel nodded in understanding.

“Don’t worry, he’ll definitely come. He doesn’t seem like the type to cancel plans for no reason,” Rachel comforted with a smile. With Laura’s inexperience and c
