Lies

Liam couldn't wrap his fingers around Eugene's statement and he blinked several times as he stared at the photo right in front of him.

Alexandra was bending down right beside the two kids with a smile on her face and Liam could tell with every thing in him that those were his kids. Jace looked exactly like him and he could see it.

"Boss, do you think those are your kids?" Eugene could also see the resemblance but he doubted Alexandra would give birth to those kids without telling him.

"Eugene, how old are these kids?" Liam asked, blinking slowly as he ran his fingers over the photo, his eyes glued to them.

"They'll be five in two months." Eugene said and Liam sighed, fisting his hands slowly.

"How could Alexandra do this?" He muttered. He had no idea she was pregnant for him and he had divorced her that way without any emotions. How could she keep a secret as huge as this from him? These were his children, he had a right to know them but Alexandra had just taken that away from him. Now he understood why she signed the divorce papers without making a fuss, it was because she had a leverage.

"I need to meet Alexandra." He muttered, getting up but Eugene blocked him.

"Sir, I don't think this is the right time. Madam might still be holding grudges against you considering she kept this huge secret from you and also rejected all our contracts. I think you should give her time." He explained and Liam scoffed lightly.

"Are you out of your mind, Eugene? Time? You are talking about time? I didn't even know I had kids for five good years, Eugene. My children has been living without a father and what? I have no time to give, Eugene." He said and was about to go when he suddenly said again.

"If Alexandra is back, then I have to .."

"Who's back?" Stella's voice suddenly cut through the intense room as she walked in, making sharp sounds with her high silhouetteos.

Eugene immediately picked the tablet from the table shutting the screen off, he then bowed at Liam and walked out, ignoring Stella. He never really liked her, especially when she made herself so unlikeable. Bossing around the office like she was the one in charge, Stella never gave room to anyone to breathe. Every employee hated her but they couldn't show it since she was Liam's fiancee and had to respect her to keep their jobs. Unfortunately, Eugene was one of the very few that showed that he did not like her at all and that was because he knew Liam couldn't fire him just because of Stella.

"Who's back, baby?" Stella muttered as she placed a kiss on Liam's lips slowly.

Liam sighed going to seat on his chair. This was the wrong time for Stella to show up but chasing her out would be unfair.

"Don't you have to go to your workplace?" He asked slowly, pretending to go through some documents.

"You know my father wouldn't care if I didn't come to work, honey." She said, dropping her bag on his table and going to caress his chest slowly.

"So what were you talking about with Eugene?" She asked, staring at him. Something in her seemed to tell her they were talking about someone important considering how intense the air was, when she got in.

"It's no one important, Stella." Liam said, still not looking at her.

"Come on, talk to me. What are you so busy with?" She pouted her lips as she collected the document from him.

"It's rejected yet again?" She asked, seeing it was the proposal to Velvet Vixen and she sighed, banging it on the table.

"Liam, why don't you ask your father to help you? I mean, he definitely has more experience than you do when it comes to taking care of the company." She proposed and Liam scoffed lightly.

Asking his father for help? That was a very stupid idea. After divorcing Alexandra, he and his parents had not been on good terms and if not that Jordans already gave the most of the shares to his son, Liam was very sure that his father would ask for the company back. He always said a man who couldn't keep his home, couldn't keep a company. Stella knew this and yet she was asking him to go to his father for help. Besides, Liam also knew that no matter who he asked for help, Alexa was strong enough to reject anyone's offer.

"I don't need help from anyone, Stella." He said curtly.

"Or maybe I can ask my father to help. He'll get the contract and then transfer it to you." She smiled.

"If she finds out it was transferred to me, she'll cancel it, paying the full cost." Liam smirked.

"She'll?" Stella blinked as she stood straight.

"Do you know the face behind Velvet Vixen?" She suddenly asked, smart enough and Liam pursed his lips slowly. Stella was going to know if he lied to her, she was going to dig till she gets what she was looking for. So instead, he checked his time, clearing his throat.

"Stella, I actually have a meeting with someone right now. I need to leave." He said.

"Liam?" Stella called, picking her bag too.

"I'll call you." He said and kissed her forehead, rushing into his car.

When he got in, he switched on the engine and revved out of the compound without having any destination in mind. After thinking for a while, he picked up his phone and called Eugene.

"Do you know the school that the kids attend?" He asked.

"Royal High, sir." Eugene replied immediately and Liam nodded, ending the call as he turned in the direction of the prominent school.
