Chapter 2

Rachelle's eyes opened, her eyelashes flickering as it opened. She found herself seated at the dining table, having breakfast with her mother, Morgen

and Laura. The memories of her past life starts flooding in as she holds onto the fork tightly. Laura's manipulation and betrayal, her mother's hurtful words and triumph smile about her death, Dominion betrayal and the termination of her pregnancy.

Then it hit her that she has been reborn, staring at the memories flooding in. She was given a second chance, her wish and prayers had been answered.

Rachelle's eyes scanned the dining table, glancing at different delicacies that had arranged on the dining table. Her eyes went from the table to Morgen  who was smiling at Morgen , eating her meal silently.

Her heart ached from the betrayal Morgen  has displayed to her in her past life and she couldn't help but feel some surge of anger towards her. She feel the urge to strangle the life out of her soul and wipe off the smile playing on her face

"Please pass the scrambled eggs," Rachelle said, her voice detached with a blank expression on her face as she gazed at Laura.

Morgen maintained the smile on her face as she handed Rachelle the plate of scrambled eggs. "Here you go, my pretty sister," Her voice dripped with sweetness which sting Rachelle's body.

Rachelle collects the plate, her eyes never leaving Laura's face for a second. "Thank you so much, my pretty sister," Rachelle said, her voice laced with sarcasm.

She began to eat sluggishly, gazing at Laura. "You seem happy and I'm so glad. You are so determined, Morgen and you always get whatever thing you want on earth, don't you, pretty sister?" Rachelle questioned and Laura's eyes narrowed.

Morgen drank water and was about to respond to her when Morgen  chipped in. "Let's not fight today. Rachelle be mindful of your words, without her do you think you will be here having breakfast with us. Be grateful and be respectful towards her,"

Rachelle turned to her mother. "I know right, rub it on my face well. You didn't have the attention to accept me back and I'm not surprised by that. You are always just so quick to defend Morgen and put blame on me without asking who's at fault. You never cared about my feelings nor my well being. I was abducted when I was five, and you didn't even care to look for your daughter," Rachelle uttered, her voice laced with hatred.

"Rachelle, what are you talking about? What has come over you? Are you sure you are alright?" Morgen questioned, her expression blank and unreadable as her voice was laced with coldness.

"I'm fine, I'm okay, mother. Nothing, I just want to make something straight," Rachelle snorted, her gaze falling on her mother to see her unreadable expression before returning her gaze back to Laura.

There was tension in the dining table but Rachelle didn't care about it as she intensely gaze at her sister.

"Rachelle," Morgen called. Rachelle just stood up and started heading upstairs ignoring Morgen  calls.

She's done being manipulated by her family and Dominion and now she wants to take back control of her life.

Rachelle felt a determination she didn't feel in her past life. She entered her room shutting the door behind.

Now that she's reborn, she will do the things she wasn't able to do in her past life, she will change her future and make Morgen face the brutal death she had faced in her past life.

Within some minutes, a knock came on the door, and Morgen entered her eyes filled with concern and Rachelle saw through it.

"Are you alright, sis,?" Morgen asked, gently as she held Rachelle's hand, immediately she flinched yanking her hands off. The memories of her betrayal were still in her mind like it happened yesterday.

"I'm fine, Laura," Rachelle responded, forcing an insincere smile on her face.

Morgen  nodded, and Rachelle could see through all her acts. "Dominion is waiting for you, don't disappoint him, he loves you so much," Morgen left.

Rachelle exhaled deeply as she began to dress to meet Dominion. Today was the day she chose a wedding gown and a date for a marriage with Dominion.

She wouldn't allow history to repeat itself. She was done by being a pawn in their game and would now take control of her own life

After dressing up, Rachelle left her room and headed downstairs. She left the house and met Dominion waiting outside. She forced a smile on her face approaching him.

"Good morning, my lady," Rachelle just nodded, still maintaining the fake smile as they entered the car.

They headed to a luxurious bridal store and when they arrived there, they were led to a private room surrounded by different wedding gowns.

Dominion eyes glinted in happiness and Rachelle's heart just twisted, thinking through the decision she's about to make.

Rachelle was led to a dressing room as the employees helped her in testing one of the wedding gowns.

"Ma, you look stunning. I'm sure he's going to love it," one of the employees complimented and Rachelle just nodded, wiping the insincere smile that was on her face before.

"Can I ask something?" Rachelle asked, giving one of the employees a glance.

"Yes ma,"

"Has anyone ever worn one of your wedding gowns to break an engagement or disrupt a wedding?" She questioned, giving the other employees a glance.

All the employees in the room with her exchanged a puzzled glance. "No,ma"

"Then that makes me the first," Rachelle mumbled, and one of the employees heard.

"Ma?"

The curtain opened revealing Rachelle's beautiful face and curvy body to Dominion who just gazed at her with a proud smile.

Those smiles never last long as Rachelle approached the employee holding a scissor, snatching it from her hand as she began to tore her wedding gown.

"Rachelle!"

She shot him a deadly glare, and slapped his cheek when he tried stopping her from tearing the gown further.

"I won't allow you to ruin and cut my life short because of your own greediness!,not again" Her voice shaky with emotions

"Rachelle," Dominion tried touching Rachelle again and she dished another round of slap on his other cheek.

"This marriage of a thing is not going to happen in fact I'm cutting the engagement off,”
