CHAPTER 7: MISSING

THIRD PERSONS POV

Troy was sitted at the sofa faced on the bed where Maeca was laying down. He was watching her sleep, admiring every inch of her.

"I have never been this crazy for a girl before," he said to himself.

Troy combed his hair with his right hand. He didn't even care if he made ladies cry not until he met her. He was instantly addicted to her.

He sighed, " Stupid self." 

He glanced at Maeca once more. As She was peacefully sleeping. Watching her makes him more infatuated. It was like he was looking at a sleeping angel.

Troy leaned to the end of the sofa and closed his eyes. 

A ring caught his attention. He picked up his phone and looked at it with a bored expression. It's his friend Darwin.

"What's up?" His voice is hoarse. His eyes were closed while talking to his friend.

"Nasa condo mo kami ngayon. Nasan ka?" His friend Darwin asked. 

"I'm at the hospital," He answered with a bored tone. He doesn't feel like talking right now.

"Hospital? G*go anong nangyari sayo dre–," 

Troy heard a loud noise, " What the f*ck was that?" His voice was filled with irritation. 

" 'to kasing si Darwin ayaw ako pahiramin nitong selpon n'ya," It was his friend Ephraem. The background was noisy in Ephraem's line as if he was running.

"What the h*ll, dre. Pahiram lang saglit." Ephraem told Darwin while he was on the phone. 

"Bakit ka ba nandyan sa Ospital, dre? Naaksidente ka ba? G*go bakit hindi mo kami sinama," Ephraem was gasping while asking him.

Troy opened his eyes and looked at Maeca. She was still sleeping. Umayos siya ng upo at idini-kwatro ang kaniyang binti. 

"I'm–," He hesitate to answer his friends question pero alam naman niyang hindi siya titigilan ng mga ito.

"May binabantayan lang ako," Troy answered while he was looking at her. 

"Don't lie, dre. Ikaw magbabantay? Ayaw mo nga ng naghihintay magbantay pa kaya. Now tell me, dre. Nasaan ka?" Now it was his friend James who was talking to him.

"I already said, I'm at the hospital," He doesn't want to argue with his friends. He then decided to 'share a location' to his friend james using the g*ogle maps and send it to him through onstagram.

"If you want to come you can," 

"You're really at the hospital? Sino binabantayan mo dyan?" James asked him. James can't believe that his friend was guarding someone. He isn't that type of man. He prefers being cold and emotionless.

"It doesn't matter" Troy said. He doesn't want to say who, he think he will lose his ego. 'If you really want to know then come here.' He said in his mind.

"What a prideful man. We'll go there in a minute," James sighed. Hindi pa rin pala nagbabago ang kaniyang kaibigan masiyado paring ma-pride.

"Bring foods if you will be going here and also fruits," Troy asked his friend to buy him something then hang up the phone call.

Troy didn't eat anything since yesterday. The food that he brought to Maeca's house were spilled on the ground when he rushed to her. He's stomach was growling in hunger. He doesn't have the time to go out. He can't afford to leave Maeca alone. Also he lacks of sleep because he was watching Maeca all night.

It's been half an hour since his friend called him but they had not arrived yet Troy was frequently looking at his wrist watch. He began to tip toe on his shoe and his hand started to knuckle.

He groaned when his stomach would growled.

"Where the h*ll are they?," Troy can't stop cursing to his friends untill his phone rang. It was Ephraem.

"Troy, we're in trouble. We bumped into Vlad's group," 

Troy heared the sound of scrimmage in the background. He cursed in his mind. He can't just let his friends fight without him. Vlad is a dangerous guy though his friends are strong, still Vlad's group was strong and always moved by pack.

"D*mn it," he cursed. "Send me your location," His jaw was tensed. He went to a nurse and ask them to keep an eye at Maeca while he was away.

He has this dark aura while he was leaving the hospital and headed to the location of his friends.

Hunger and frustration has filled him.

"Finally, the master is here." 

He saw Darwin was beat up but he can still move while James and Ephraem were fighting with the other enemies.

"Isn't it funny? Attacking my colleagues while I'm not with them. Are you scared that you'll lose if I'm with them?" Troy gave them a laugh of insult while putting his black gloves on.

"Let's make this quick. I'm hungry and you interrupted my delivery men." 

He punched the man who's been attacking him. Humandusay iyon sa lakas ng pagkasuntok ni Troy. Pagkatapos ng isa ay sunod-sunod na ang pag-atake ng mga kalaban. Umiiwas siya sa mga suntok at sipa ng mga ito subalit napakadami nila kaya minsan ay natatamaan din siya subalit hindi naman iyon nakaapekto sa pakikipaglaban ni Troy.

He successfully defeated all the members of Vlad's pack. 

"I see, hindi ka parin pala kumukupas," He looked at Vlad. It was spraying alcohol in his hand like he was disinfecting his hand.

Troy was shocked and didn't realize that Vlad was already near him.

 'He's fast,' Troy said in his mind. 

Vlad had punched him so hard that it made him fall on the ground. He immediately got up. He shaked his head para mawala ang hilo na naramdaman dahil sa suntok ni Vlad. He got caught off guard. 

Vlad punched him again but this time he miss. Troy counter attacked him but Vlad immediately blocked him.

They keep on exchanging punches and kicks They looked like they didn't even got hurt, they were not tired at all.

Troy punched him in his stomach and it hits hard. Vlad's face was in pain but still he still fought. They stopped when they heard cops are coming.

"I'll win next time we see each other again," Vlad said when he was running towards his friends. They helped Darwin who's been beaten up. 

They headed to a restaurant before buying fruits and got back to the hospital.

Troy was happy eating then someone's cellphone rang.

"Iyo ba 'yon?" Tanong ni Darwin na ngayon ay may hawak ng ice pack at nakadikit iyon sa kaniyang pisngi.

"Hindi, nakapatay selpon ko," 

"Troy, baka sayo 'yong nagriring," Bigla namang tanong ni Ephaem.

Bumaling ang atensyon ni Troy sa selpon niyang nagriring. Hindi niya iyon napansin dahil sa gutom niya.

"Hello," sagot niya sa tawag habang nagpupunas ng tissue sa gilid ng kaniyang labi. 

"Hello, this is L.P. Hospital. I would like to know if this is Mr. Robles?" tanong ng babae sa kabilang linya.

"Yes, that's me." 

"I have a badnews, Sir. Before I tell you, please keep calm." Napakunot ang noo ni Troy sa sinabi ng babae.

"Spit it out," He sounds cold. 

"I'm sorry sir but the patient that you brought here today was missing. We are doing are best to find here as soon as possible," She uttered with a hesitation in her voice. She knows that he'll be mad. 

"What did you say?" napatayo si Troy sa kinauupuan. His mind doesn't want to accept the new information that he got.

"I'm sorry sir but Ms. Kaeda is missing."
