I strolled down the street and back to our villa and I stopped for a while and looked out over the ocean and took in the beauty, the noise and the smells. My eyes opened to the sun caressing the surface of the ocean. The sky was painted purple and orange as the sun started to rise. I went for my daily jog and returned an hour later. Sweat ran down my back in small rivulets as I took off my running shoes and dove into the pool.The house was still quiet as I went upstairs. Adara and Christian snuggled together as they slept and I went back downstairs to start breakfast. A knock on the front door interrupted my rummaging in the fridge and I frowned slightly as I looked at my watch. Even before the large door was opened I could hear the lively music being played. Karis told us that it was called Sega and native to Mauritius. The music was a genre fusion of Seggae and Bhojpuri and sung in Creole. It was an interesting mix of drumbeats and rattle sounds.My eyes scanned the room instinctively and the man that rose to his feet was – I assumed – the Alpha, Teeven.
