Adara was quiet for a long time but I kept my mouth shut, knowing that she was trying to tell me how she felt without hurting my feelings. I could see her nervousness in her aura and I had thought that we were beyond that point.

“It’s not that I don’t like living there. I would just like a space of our own that I can decorate the way I want to. I don’t feel comfortable changing things in Malachi’s house, changing things that Karani decorated.”

“I’ll talk to Malachi when we get back home. I just assumed we’d always live there and we might have to for a while until we can build a house because I’m not living in town.”
