Part Eighty

Malachi took us to the airport and we hugged him goodbye. Adara was beyond excited as we stood in the queue and Christian was bouncing up and down at the boarding gate as we waited to board our plane.

I could sense their excitement. We would be in Mauritius for three weeks, we had decided that we would come back home for Christmas and spend it together as a family and I had invited James and Shoran as well.

We flew to Seattle and on to Frankfurt where we had a long stop over. From there it was almost a twelve-hour flight to Mauritius. After almost two days on planes and in airports we stepped into the brilliant sunlight and set foot on the beautiful island.

There was a man waiting for us as we exited with our baggage holding a ‘Sinclair Party’ board up and I greeted him. He smiled briefly and led us to a car. The drive to our villa took almost two hours. We took in the heat, which was extreme for us, the beautiful scenery, and the noises.
