Chapter 71 – We shall soon be together

At first, Gabriel wanted Maeve to respond and make it seem as if he was trying to convince her to break up with Dylan but knowing who Dylan was, he might just create another drama of the whole thing and keep his eyes wider.

Maeve was already uneasy but Gabriel’s calmness calmed her when she saw him typing a message on his phone. She got closer and read inaudibly.

“Maeve, where are you?” Dylan was calling out again when another male voice was heard,

“Mr. Grayson, are you looking for Miss. Cambridge?” Maeve heard somebody say, meaning he was talking to Dylan.

“Yes, she came to use the ladies’ room and hasn’t returned. Have you seen her anywhere? She is needed for the cutting of the cake and family pictures.”
