Maeve could not believe that another exciting moment was ruined.

“I’m not expecting him but please let him in,” she said calmly but Gabriel frowned,

“Are you sure?”

“I haven’t picked a gown for his wedding so that might be the reason,” she said and Gabriel smiled, knowing that she didn’t care about Dylan’s wedding.

Nevertheless, he thought to caution her a little.

“Too much forgetfulness will raise eyebrows.”

“Lesson learned,” Maeve agreed.

“Let him in,” Gabriel said to his secretary on the intercom, at the same time Maeve went back to her chair.

Dylan walked, scowling at the sight of Gabriel, and without greeting, he said,

“Maeve, you haven’t picked your gown yet. Let’s go shopping.”

Gabriel interrupted before Maeve spoke, “Mr. Grayson, if you lack the courtesy to greet, then get out of my office.”

He only meant to annoy Dylan, who retorted, “I was already leaving with her.”

“I won’t allow her to follow you if you d
