I didn't think that I would run into Brooke again, and in our residential area at that.

Daisy had been honing her culinary skills, and her cooking had been improving day by day. With that, my appetite had also grown a lot.

Even though I often complained about it, I still thoroughly enjoyed everything she fed me.

While taking a stroll in the park, I caught sight of Brooke. She'd gotten a lot thinner, and her cheekbones seemed to be protruding out.

She was dressed rather messily and looked like she was in desolation as she headed straight toward me. However, Daisy stopped her at once.

Brooke just laughed coldly and said, "Theros, at the very least, we've known each other for ten years. Can't I even have a word with you now?"

I tapped on Daisy's shoulder and said, "What do you want to say?"

Brooke then glanced at Daisy. It was obvious that she didn't want an "outsider" around.
