I never thought that I'd ever meet Gaston again either. This time, I bumped into him at the hospital.

However, I was even more surprised to see him there with a pregnant woman.

Hadn't he just called off his engagement to Brooke just a while ago?

"Don't misunderstand. It wasn't because of Brooke."

For some reason, Gaston seemed genuinely friendly and approachable today. He was very drastically different from the rude and overbearing Gaston I knew.

He glanced at the pregnancy test results in my hand and said, "Congratulations on being a father!"

"Thank you," I said, looking at the test results with a smile on my face.

"But Brooke's mom isn't a force to be reckoned with. You're going to have a lot of hardships in your future."

Wait, what did this have anything to do with Brooke? Did he misunderstand something?

"Honey, I'm done asking the doctor about the precautions we need to take. Let's go back," Daisy said. She hugged me very gently as if she was porcelain.
