Chapter 10 - Different Emotions

"Sir, you called me?" Raphael asked and Ethan nodded while looking through some important documents.

"I want every information about Kate's new friend." Ethan said and Raphael went away to do the task.

It would be good for that girl if she doesn't have any evil intentions. But if I found out anything suspicious about her, she would have to face my wrath, Ethan thought deeply.

He completed his work and left his office to go to his room to get ready for the party but someone again bumped into him. He held her waist quickly so that she doesn't fall and looked down to see that she is the same girl who bumped into him before.

What was her name? Yes, Jennifer! She is so small in front of me, Ethan thought looking at her small figure.

She quickly said sorry while looking up at him! She eyed him for a minute and then removed his hands from her waist.

After that, she didn't even dare to look at him. He asked her if she was crashing into him intentionally or not, which infuriated her!

I am sure she is doing this intentionally to come close to me. She is nothing but a gold digger, He thought looking at her like she is some disgusting thing.

He humiliated her by calling her a desperate woman who wants to get his attention. But she tried to make him understand that she had zero interest in him in her sassy way.

He wanted to choke her to death at that moment as no one ever dared to talk to him like that. He glared at her intensely and he was ready to pounce on her but before that, she ran away saving her ass!

Fly higher little bird because it will be more fun to cut your wings, he thought, smirking evilly.

He went to his room, somehow calming down his anger, and got ready for the party, wearing a navy blue suit. He went downstairs and saw that the guests had started arriving.

He saw Stefan and went towards him.

"Wow, bro! You are looking handsome but not more than me!" He said grinning and Ethan rolled his eyes at him.

He will never change. I pity the girl who will get him, Ethan thought, chuckling at his antics.

Ethan looked behind Stefan and saw Mia entering the hall.

Who invited this walking headache? He thought, groaning in his mind.

"Oh shit! That mad girl is coming here! Are you ready for the perfect company? I am going because I have no interest in hearing her shits! All the best!" Stefan said smirking and gave Mia a cheeky smile and quickly left from there.

Ethan also had no interest in talking to her so he thought to leave too but she held his elbow before he could move away.

"Ethan, you are looking handsome as always." She said, hugging him and Ethan removed her from his body not liking her touch.

'And you are looking disgusting as always!' He wanted to say this to her but controlled himself.

He looked away from her groaning in his mind and looked towards the stairs. There he saw the birthday girl dressed up like a princess but soon his eyes diverted to the person who was behind her.

His legs automatically started walking towards her while taking glimpses of her.

She... she... she is looking breathtaking! He thought moving his eyes all over her body but soon anger flashed through his mind looking at the revealing dress she was wearing!

He saw that she was about to fall but he caught her waist in a tight grip before she could meet the floor. Her one hand was on his shoulder and the other one was clutching his shirt in a tight grip.

She looked at him and he looked into her eyes deeply. Some emotions started flickering in his heart which she never felt before.

He looked at her neck which was bandaged and he felt guilty thinking she must be in pain.

Ethan, what are you thinking? She is definitely a danger to your family. Don't feel any emotion except anger towards her, his subconscious said to him.

You are right. She only deserves my anger, he thought and touched her neck to hurt her and she winced in pain.

After giving her a warning, he pushed her a little and went toward Stefan. He started talking to him but all the time his eyes were on Jennifer.

He saw her talking to his mom and Kate. Some moments later, he heard her calling his mom 'Mom' and anger started building up inside him again.

How dare she? Who gave her the right to call her mom? He thought glaring daggers at her and Jennifer looked at him.

She could sense the rage on his face so she looked away immediately. After some time, the lights went off and he knew the person who was talking in the darkness was his dad as he wanted to surprise Kate by coming suddenly.

Ethan loves his dad very much as he got his looks, behaviour, and also anger from him. His dad wished Kate and went towards their mom.

He always admired how much they were in love with each other. After some time, he saw that Kate dragged their dad near Jennifer.

They talked only for a little and he saw tears in Jennifer's eyes. Her tears suddenly did something to him so he started following her to wherever she was going while crying.

He saw that she was going to the backyard towards the pool and he also followed her there. Then he saw her dipping her legs into the water and crying silently!

Suddenly she got up and her eyes got locked with him and he went towards her. He asked her who gave her the right to call his mom 'Mom'.

She wiped her tears and tried to make him understand that it was his mom who gave her the right! Suddenly she clutched her head like she was in extreme pain and Ethan's anger turned into worry.

He started walking towards her and she got scared of him. She started walking backward and he held her hand, pulling her towards him.

They were very close to each other. She tried to move away from him but he held her hand more tightly and he made her sit on the edge of the pool.

He also sat beside her and thought of giving cold water to her head so that the pain could be reduced!
